Masicka Gets Major Buzz With ‘I Wish’ Video On BET Jams

Dancehall star Masicka continues to make major moves industry-wise as his latest video for the club banger I Wish made its premiere on BET Jams this week to rave reviews from fans and music insiders alike.

The song has also been trending number one on all major online platforms, racking up millions of views.

“Masicka has emerged as the biggest star in this new dancehall generation. He has the swagger, the hits, and the Internet buzz to conquer overseas markets like the dancehall industry did in the late 90s with those generational stars. He is a once in a lifetime talent,” manager Corey Todd said.

“The feedback has been incredible since I Wish premiered on BET Jams. This is where dancehall and reggae music should be, on the international stage, alongside the biggest rappers and pop acts, and that’s where Masicka is going to put dancehall, back in the mainstream.”

Masicka, easily one of Jamaica’s youngest and brightest dancehall artistes, made a significant ‘investment’ in himself by building a home studio.

During a recent Live video, the King Inna Earth singer showed off his new studio, which is currently under construction. “Yeah ah me studio dis people, you see how it big? So ah de facility this yuh seet, you done know,” he proudly declared.

Masicka is also Dragon Stout’s newest ambassador, having recently signed a one-year partnership with the brand to mark its 100th year anniversary.

Masicka, whose real name is Javaun Fearon is known for a string of hit songs, including Infrared with Vybz Kartel, Leader with Dexta Daps, Top Form, Stay Strong, and They Don’t Know.
