Fans Say Intence Sneak Dissed Kartel, Skillibeng On New Song ‘Money Nuff Funds’
YengBadness Dancehall deejay Intence dropped an official music video for a diss-laced track, Money Nuff Funds on Sunday. The new release is an unrelenting shelling aimed at what many fans are speculating are two particular Dancehall acts.
The Claims Record produced track is currently trending at the No. 5 spot on YouTube JM now after 2 days of its release, much to the curiosity of fans that have tuned in to decipher who Intence’s targets are, as well as his witty head-scratching rhymes.
The deejay has certainly amped-up his game on this one, flexing some silver-tongued lyrics that speak on his homophonic name and get his message across. Though he says in the track, “Nobody mi nuh beef wid, afta me nuh chef,” he admits he likes to stir the pot, “Just got the recipe, mi mix the ingredients.”
Ironically, he addresses an individual that goes by the name “Jerky”, a name that has been associated with Vybz Kartel in the past. Around 2008, Mavado accused Kartel of ‘selling jerk chicken’ for a living, after Kartel first accused him of being a “barber” in their lyrical clashes.
Kartel was at odds with Intence last April after the veteran publicly accused the young trending star of buying views on YouTube.
Intence also calls out an individual that “look like s’maddy just wake, still a p—p—bed,” a possible Skillibeng reference according to the assumption of several fans. Skilli reportedly did quite well in school, and the two deejays had beef with each other late last year.
While the Yeng Boss was intentional not to call names, he has certainly set imaginations wild.
“Who here when him diss kartel calling him jerki,” said one YouTube follower, while another remarked, “Dem seh yuh bright and intellectual yeah yuh full a word #whoHimATalk #skillibeng OR #vybz kartel 💯💯💯🆗🆗.”
Apart from Intence’s subliminal references, the deejay’s message, “Money Nuff Funds” ring out loud and clear in the track. The music video, which was directed by ShotByDeth sees the Yeng Boss flipping stacks of cash in his currency-counting machine and in other scenes spitting his lines from the comfort of his Mercedes Benz.
