Just over year after his Instagram account was hacked, Bounty Killer is up in arms again, after an imposter created an account impersonating him and began using it to send DMs to his female fans.

In his announcement on Tuesday, Bounty shared a screenshot of the page which was following no one and had no posts or followers. The profile consisted of an image of Bounty and was listed as a private account.  It was apparently reported to the Warlord, who issued words of caution to his fans.

“People unun look out for this fassy ole who a dm mi fans dem that commented on my posts and pics,” Bounty noted, before adding: “Do I have a private page mi nuh deal wid secret ntn bout mi nuh under cover”.

His remarks were spotted by Dancehall Diva Spice, who posted “Kaboom” followed by flame and laughing emoticons, and HoodCelebrityy who called for him to “tag them so we could report the page”.

Some female fans said they had been contacted by the imposter who had direct-messaged them.

“Him DM me to, me glad yo let we know because me nearly get excited thinking a syou,” blackgrlfluff posted.

“Yup got one but I’m cautious and noticed it didn’t look right,” spicydevi responded, while sheryl3989 said she too had received a message and immediately knew it was fraudulent.

“I saw that it was fake.  One question I text and he wouldn’t answer me,” she said.

Other amused fans used lyrics from Bounty Killer’s songs to send threats to the imposter, stating that he had stepped into a ‘deadly zone’.

“Lord ah mercy!! Bounty Killa gonna murder yuh now,” alvinriffied said, while 1official jisrael chimed in: “Who sen dem, Let me end dem”, followed by a series of flames.

In December 2019 Bounty Killer’s Instagram page was hacked by what appeared to be a seller of shoes, forcing the Seaview Gardens native to create a temporary page dubbed 1unogeneral.

The Killer’s Instagram page at the time had in the region of 445,000 followers, which swelled to more than 767,000 since his VERZUZ stint with Beenie Man last year.

Bounty was irate after he discovered the misdeed, noting that the page was hacked by someone in Turkey who had gained access to his phone number and then contacted him about returning his page to his control.

When Bounty regained control of the page a week later, he told his fellow deejay Popcaan that the hackers had tried to sell the page back to him for $500.  “P__y dem try sell mi page fi 5 bills,” he told the Unruly deejay.

During his tirade Bounty, in addressing the violation, had reiterated his disgust and hurled abuses at the hacker. However, he had also used the opportunity to thank the support team at Instagram and Solid Agency’s Sharon Burke for their efforts in retrieving the page, noting that they “worked tirelessly on this tedious matter to get it resolved”.

Meanwhile, Killer also released a new track yesterday titled Nice Up with Reggae singer Tia.  The song, produced by Troyton Music, was accompanied by a lyric video.
