Vanessa Bling Slakes Fans With Syrupy Snippet Of ‘Anything A Anything’
Dancehall starlet Vanessa Bling popped up on social media recently teasing fans with a syrupy snippet of her 2010 feature on Anything A Anything with Vybz Kartel, and her fans went berserk.
The 5-second clip of Bling sampling the hook of the track in acapella garnered attention online with lots of excited comments and retweets, when the singer posted it to Twitter and Instagram two days ago.

It’s evident that the one time Gaza diva is greatly missed by the fans. “🔥🔥🔥🔥 We need you fi sing more please,” one said. While others added, “My song. We miss you my Pisces queenRed heart” and “We need you fi sing back fi the girls dem, dem stray”.
Vanessa Bling, whose real name is Vanessa Saddler, was once part of the Portmore Empire, which thrived under the leadership of its founder Vybz Kartel. Back in the day, the young Dancehall singer went by the moniker Gaza Slim, a more fitting title for her insertion into the Gaza family. At just 20 years old, Bling’s career was on the way to great heights when she recorded her ‘ride or die’ anthems Anything A Anything and One Man with Kartel.
By the time 2011 rolled around, Vanessa Bling was one of Dancehall’s most promising young stars, who would go on to earn Jamaica STAR’s People’s Choice Awards for Female Artiste Of The Year.
She landed other hit singles such as Everything Fi Hold Him, Stop Gwaan Like Yuh Tough, and Independent Ladies and toured the world, appearing on stages from Germany to Israel and all across the Caribbean with her Gaza comrades.
Unfortunately, her entry into stardom was short-lived when she was arrested alongside her mentor in 2011. Bling was subsequently charged with conspiracy in the case of the murder of Clive “Lizard” Williams. She served a brief prison stint and a lengthy amount of time on parole before these charges would eventually be dropped in 2014, while Kartel was sentenced to life in prison. Vanessa claimed that Williams had robbed her after the date of his death.
Following the tumultuous legal ordeal, Vanessa Bling took a break from the world of music to regroup. The now 30-year-old told sources last year that she’s been working with new producers and songwriters from all over the globe to push out some fresh music to appeal to a mainstream audience. While she hasn’t abandoned her Dancehall sensibilities, she’s expanded sonically, traversing deeper into reggae, R&B, Afropop, and even EDM. Bling’s recent releases include No Time, First Thing, Tek Who, and Diss Mi.
