Love and Hip Hop: Atlanta star and Queen of Dancehall Spice is proud of the “major, historic” collaboration with Sean Paul and Shaggy, which she has lined up for her upcoming album, TEN .

The Back Bend deejay sat down with radio personality Angela Yee on her Lip Service podcast where Yee apparently let the secret slip out.

“A major historic single from the album is coming out in April and I think that’s gonna set the record for me,” Spice told the trio of hosts. “I have two giants coming out on that track,” she added before Yee blurted out “Sean Paul and Shaggy I cannot believe it”, stealing a bit of the Queen’s thunder for her exciting announcement.

Sean Paul was actually first to let the cat out of the bag when he shared his excitement about the approaching banger from what he called the “Big S’s” in Dancehall, during a January interview with DJ4eign.

But it appears Spice may not have been totally ready to divulge all the deets. She laughed it off, and after asking, “Angela, why you did that,” the savvy reality star pivoted the interview well.

“I think we can talk about it. For me, I was able to bring them together because I’ve never seen someone on a track with Sean Paul and Shaggy. So having them together on one track means the world to me,” Spice said.

While the enviable linkup is a major move as she suggested, Spice seemed to have overlooked their previous efforts in the moment’s excitement. Sean Paul and Shaggy delivered the wildly popular Hey Sexy Lady remix back in 2003 which also featured reggae duo Brian and Tony Gold. The prolific stalwarts would work together again years later on a more somber occasion — a track called Rise Again , which was part of Digicel’s Haiti Relief Fund following the devastating 2010 earthquake.

Still, the blue-haired superstar gushed about the upcoming synergy of star power on her very first LP. “It’s historic,” she commented, adding that Dancehall acts usually have to tap into markets outside of the genre to get that ‘international crossover record’.

“The two giants within the genre have done it and have the audience for it so why not have them come together on a track?” she said.

Shaggy and Spice’s working relationship hasn’t yielded any hits to date, however, the It Wasn’t Me heavyweight serves as executive producer on her upcoming LP along with a promising roster of beatmakers.

Meanwhile, Stylo G’s Dumplin remix with the hitmaker duo, Sean Paul and Spice, garnered incredible reviews and traction, both locally and abroad. The YouTube video has amassed 46 million views and counting, and the hypnotic banger was added to American radio outlet Hot 97’s playlist, a feat each artist celebrated on Instagram.

As for the full body of work, Spice’s fans will have to wait and see for just a few more months. “The album is set to be released sometime in the summer. We haven’t found a date yet,” she said.
