Xyclone Says People Fatigued With Gun And Scamming Songs, Drops ‘Boom’ For The Ladies
Dancehall music is currently oversaturated with gun, killing, and scamming songs, according to Dancehall artist Xyclone.
Xyclone told DancehallMag to counter the current trend in music, he dropped his latest single Boom which is dedicated to the ladies.
Boom, produced by Shotty Shane Productions and Slym from Black Ops’ Music, is the entertainer’s newest girls-inspired tune, released in January 2020.
“Boom is just about bringing amusement to the females worldwide. It’s refreshing to hear something other than gun, killing and scamming in Dancehall music. I believe the females appreciate it because they have been starving for more of songs like this,” Xyclone explained.
Boom has been exploding on social media platform TikTok , with the single popular among lip-syncing professionals on the platform.
Xyclone, whose breakout hit Back Pocket Rag was released in 2012, is not surprised at the response to his new single as he believes the industry needed a track like this, particularly at this time.
The artiste is no stranger to hit singles in the international Dancehall space having struck it big in 2019 with his single, Meck It Clap featuring Konshens; as for his body of work, he has three album projects that got notable nods on the Reggae Billboard album chart in the United States.
Now with a newly inked management deal with SG Records and Jaus Col Entertainment’, Xyclone believes he is ready to continue giving the people what they want musically with his unique vocal delivery and image.
Xyclone is preparing to shoot visuals for the Boom single, which is slated to be released later this month; he is also planning on releasing another potential chart topping album project this year
