Popular Dancehall music producer NotNice and his baby mother ex, Unruly Squid, the sister of the Unruly Boss, Popcaan, both jumped on an unlikely Instagram Live recently that would eventually reveal why they ended their relationship some years ago.

Annalecia ‘Unruly Squid’ Sutherland, who is also Popcaan‘s manager at Unruly Entertainment, was having a quick live chat with her Instagram followers on Tuesday evening when the segment was intercepted by ex-boyfriend, Ainsley “NotNice” Morris, who seemed to be lurking as he doesn’t follow Squid on the platform.

They would dabble back and forth in light banter before the conversations led into the topic of relationships, and particularly theirs for reference. Though they’ve now become somewhat of besties, Squid and NotNice both agreed that things between them back in the day were far from good.

“Me and NotNice better off as BFF,” Sutherland said. “Before it did ugly, it was so ugly.” The producer added, “Me and Lecia cannot ‘gree… When we together, we war more.”

He went on to tell the viewers, “Yuh cyaa in a no relationship and … it nah go be smooth sailing everyday. Likkle war haffi deh deh, but a just war did deh deh.”

He told Squid she was a “war boat” to which she conceded. “Mi know, mi nuh stay suh again though. Mi change. Ive got older and wiser.” Also adding that she no longer has the energy to fight with her spouse and simply likes the feeling of peace in her life.

Though she described him as beyond toxic back when they were together, she now admits, “It’s so funny how the toxic turned to best friend vibe.”

He responded, “At least we can live loving. A true yuh cya live without me in a life. We stuck wid each other forever.”

Even though they are in a good place right now, NotNice would maintain Squid likes things her way all the time. “People, yo most of di time we cant ‘gree,” he said even to date, also implying it was the premise of their incompatibility.  She quickly retorted, “And nothing is wrong with that, mi like when tings go my way, every woman likes when things go fi dem way. A suh it fi go.” Further citing the adage, “Happy Wife Happy Life.”

“Once a woman happy she a do everything fi make yuh happy but once you feel like you fi come along and stress out a woman, den you life a go unhappy to, cause if you make me sad, yuh a bloodcl88 sad to,” she snapped.

It would eventually come to light that things fell apart because of the recurring issue of infidelity. “If you unhappy and the man unhappy, weh di man a go do?” NotNice asked to further answer the question, “Go a road and look happiness.”

Sutherland responded, “When unno have unno good, good woman a unno yard and unno feel like seh unno waan go creep and do some things, unno never a go find somebody like dah woman deh.”

The producer, however, sadly disagreed, “Every woman feel like seh there’s never another woman fi di man and then baps di man just gone, have different woman, sekkle dung.”

It seemed the mother of his child was willing to compromise through NotNice’s philandering ways but she said he made matters worse by lying about it.

“The hardest thing fi a man seh, especially you, is ‘I am sorry’… Me will ketch NotNice inna di act and NotNice a seh a nuh him. NotNice used to mek mi feel like mi mad, like mi delusional… You a wicked.”

Squid also said NotNice made his side chicks “feel like dem can size up” with her and it all became too much to handle.

He, on the other hand, was adamant that Squid drove him to cheating and that men don’t randomly “misbehave.” He recalled instances of her searching his phone, which contributed to their chaos.

“Yuh know like after 15 seconds the phone screen lock? She see seh mi a drop asleep. She go suh and tap di phone then she count inna her mind to 14 and then she just touch it again… About 10 minutes a dat she do til she know mi drop asleep and tek di phone and gone,” he said.

Unable to contain herself after, he would be awakened by slaps and accusations. A deserving reaction he admitted, “Gyal a text me bout ‘sex was great’… Mi get ketch red-handed.”

He mentioned another scenario where she retrieved the passcode to his phone and would relentlessly snoop on his messages and phone calls for a whole two weeks before confronting him with screenshots.

The two have certainly come a long way and have no hard feelings for what they both put each other through. They are parents to a little boy and plan on staying on amicable grounds.

“Unno see we pon Live when we pass all a dem stage deh; vex stage, upset stage. Dis a just pure love and good energy… Me like di feeling of peace… Mi nav nuh time fi di war again right now,” said Squid.

Another of NotNice’s Sutherland relationships crumbled last year.  The producer and his longtime collaborator, Popcaan ( Ova Dweet El Chapo Dream ), appeared to sever professional ties when they took their unresolved money issues to social media in April 2020.
