Jaz Elise Releases Visually-Opulent, High-Decibel ‘Radio’ Video: Watch
In.Digg.Nation Collective’s latest signee, Jaz Elise, turns up the volume on her formal musical outing with the release of a new scintillating and sensual video for the single Radio, which appears on her The Golden Hour debut EP.
“Sometimes during this time period when we can’t be around someone who we have that emotional or intimate connection with, it can be frustrating. “Radio” was my way of channeling those feelings. When push comes to shove we have to just let people know how we feel and what we want. It’s a fun and freeing song,” the singer shared through her publicist.
The singer-songwriter tapped into her performing arts background to effortlessly execute the polished choreographed segments from the Shane Creative-directed video for the single.
“I have put my all in it. My dreams, my hopes, my feelings, my experiences, my vulnerabilities, my pain. Everything. I am looking forward to sharing these feelings and stories with people,” the artist says of her musical journey.
Jaz Elise continues to convert and captivate outliers with the release of yet another engaging track, accompanied by compelling visuals, from her major label project debut. The aesthetics of the video complements the lyrics of the bold, propositioning single.
“I like this right now, we don’t need no label…Turn me on like radio, show me love like never before. Want you inna my life…,” the songwriter enunciates on the recording.
The sometimes-guitarist put on vocal masterclass for Radio, whose video’s cinematography artfully lingers in a cornucopia of inferences, sultry lighting and opulent editing.
“Photographers speak of this peak, magical moment at sunrise and sunset where the sun casts a golden hue in the sky…This is known as the golden hour. The feelings and emotions that manifest for me when I’m looking at the sky during the golden hour is how I feel when listening to this EP and I want people to feel when listening to this body of work,” the trained dancer-turned-vocalist shared, explaining her the title of her EP.
Jaz Elise’s The Golden Hour was released through the combined efforts of Grammy-nominated singer-producer Protoje’s In.Digg.Nation Collective and Six Course Music/RCA Records, where she has now has joined longtime collaborators-turned-labelmates, artists Lila Iké and Sevana.
The composition and production on the artist’s EP can primarily be attributed to Protoje as well as In.Digg.Nation mainstays IzyBeats, Natural High, J.L.L., iotosh, and Ziah .Push.
