Usain Bolt Shows Off Another Pricey Timepiece With Girlfriend Kasi Bennett
World record holder and sprint legend Usain Bolt seized the moment to capture a photo-op with his beau, Kasi Bennett, showing off yet another pricey Hublot timepiece.
Usain proudly captioned his recent share, “What time is it?” and tagging the Swiss luxury watchmaker while beaming his pearly whites.
Though, several fans would see him as the culprit of an outfit repeater — the new Dancehall music producer apparently wore the same shirt he was donned as the face of Hublot’s watch campaign in 2019, for two new Classic Fusion models from their iconic Big Bang collection in honor of the Eden Rock luxury hotel in St. Barts.
One of the photos to mark the occasion was the 34-year-old Olympian modeling the Classic Fusion Aerofusion Chronograph Eden Rock while wearing a vibrantly colored polo shirt with orange, blue and white graphics on a black base.
Usain in another endorsement plug for Hublot uploaded a photo on Friday to Instagram wearing a different model watch but the same shirt.
The beloved Jamaican treasure however can do no wrong; after all he’s the fastest man on the planet, not a fashion icon. The fans also came out to back their favorite sprinter, “REPEAT is a sign of OWNERSHIP, come out the mans damn business yah😂😒,” said one devoted fan.
Others chimed in, “A fuss mi see this, nuh the man clothes, nuh fi him money buy it uno rlly dont have nothing to do.”
“See all u know ….just sit down a watch ppl wid yuh nuff self …yuh not even have half the amount a clothes wah the man have😒”
“Suh ñuh de mn clothes 😂😂😂 afta him ñuh borrow it a wah uh problem.”
One person was keen to point out that Usain’s repeat-wear had no reflection on his bank account, he said, “You making fun of his shirt and him making fun of your bank account.”
Another noticed that even though the shirt was the same, he was rocking something more impressive, another Hublot, “He’s allowed to repeat his clothes..Plus it’s 2 different watches😂😂😂,” she said.
Not only is the widely celebrated world champion sprinter the face of Hublot’s watch campaign, the company released its first King Power watch dedicated to Bolt in 2012, ahead of the London Olympics. Then in 2016, the company launched two more, the iconic Big Bang Unico Usain Bolt collection.
These would include the Usain Bolt Yellow Gold and Big Bang Unico Usain Bolt Ceramic, each limited editions that commemorated a milestone year for the Jamaican-born Bolt, who at the time had set out to add to his considerable array of gold medals, earned in Beijing in 2008 and London in 2012, by breaking the 19-second barrier for the 200-meter sprint.
Fittingly, one of the watches is in an 18k yellow gold case, with a shiny, yellow-gold-colored strap of calfskin sewn onto rubber. The other is in a satin-finished and polished black ceramic case, with six H-shaped gold bezel screws representing Bolt’s six championships to date, and comes on either black rubber or Schedoni leather strap; all straps fasten with a deployment clasp made of black-plated titanium. Both models feature yellow and green highlights (on the hands, subdials, and minute track) echoing the colors of the Jamaican flag, and both straps have an embossed Jamaica flag motif.
The Hublot Big Bang Unico Usain Bolt Yellow Gold retails for US$42,000, while the black Ceramic model is priced at US$22,000.
