Dancehall Artist Delly Ranx To Release New Album, ‘Big Time’
Dancehall/Reggae artist Delly Ranx is in a buoyant mood as he prepares for the release of his 7th studio album.
“Albums are very important because they play a vital role in the development of the career of an artiste. If you want longevity in the music business you have to put out good albums. Look at all the greats in Jamaican music like Toots Hibbert, Peter Tosh, Bunny Wailer, Bob Marley, Jimmy Cliff, Shaba Ranks, Sean Paul, Buju Banton and Shaggy. They created long and thriving careers by releasing good albums and touring consistently,” said Delly Ranx.
The 14 track album titled Big Time is scheduled to released by his Pure Music Production music imprint in May.
In a recent interview, the easy-going entertainer who is also an accomplished music producer disclosed that the album will feature several collaborations.
“There are some wonderful songs on this album, most of them are collaborations. I will name a few but not all of them. There’s the title track Big Time featuring Spragga Benz, Real Friends featuring Bugle, Vanity Love featuring Vershon, Jig Wi A Jig (remix) featuring Demarco and Another Place featuring Stacious,” said Delly Ranx.
Delly Ranx believes that the album will do well despite the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic.
“Some artistes are timid about putting out albums right now because of the pandemic but I am not. I have a large fan base worldwide and I’m sure they will support my album. I’m also looking forward to gaining some new fans with this project,” he said.
Delly Ranx is also promoting several new singles including Left Dem To Time produced by DJ Smurf on the DJ Smurf Music label and Shotta produced by Sunjock Firewayne on Capture Land rhythm for Echo One Production.
Delly Ranx’ previously released albums are Break Free (2006), Good Profile (2009), Fi Di Dancehall (2011), The Next Chapter (2012), Sweet Reggae (2014) and Weed Market (2018).
