Chef Popcaan’s Dutch Pot Fried Chicken Gives KFC A Run For Their Money
Dancehall artist Popcaan is proving to be quite the chef as he shares another cooking segment with his Instagram followers.
In a backyard setting, Poppy shows us how he grills up some juicy-looking jerked pork in his very own ‘Unruly’ drum smoker. Then in other slides, takes viewers through how he dredges chicken in a flour mix before a sizzling coal-fire dutch pot fry. Not only does the Unruly Chef’s fried chicken look mouth-wateringly delicious, but could probably give KFC a run for their money.
It’s no secret the Dancehall star prides himself for his chef skills. He showed off his immaculate unruly branded chef attire on Twitter 2 days ago – a white apron bearing the name “Unruly Chef” on the front and a chef’s hat with “Popcaan” printed along the base.
Never to be ordinary, Poppy turns up the swag with an added red bandana tied around his neck and of course his customary bling.

The Risky deejay is always throwing it down in the kitchen, if not there then he’s outside doing the same or ‘running a boat’ as Jamaicans like to say. There doesn’t seem to be a lot that he can’t do either, his IG shares have seen him making pumpkin soup, fried fish, stewed chicken, brown-stewed oxtail, curried goat, rice, and peas, and ofcourse recently, jerked pork and deep-fried chicken, a few staples in Jamaican cuisine.
In his latest culinary session, Popcaan egged fans on by sharing a phone number for them to call if they wanted in on some of his delicious meals.
“Anyways who delete me cooking??🤔🤔As me say before who want call +1 (876) 899-0946🤣🤣,” he captioned the post, leaving many disappointed fans to arrive at voicemail recording but they all found it hilarious nonetheless.
Several fans were quick to point out that Poppy’s choice of background music couldn’t have been more inappropriate.
“How u fi play @therealsizzlakalonji song in yo meat bizniss @popcaanmusic ?🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣,” said one person. Others picked up on the same, “Man blasting Sizzla while cooking Pork & Chicken… Killy Killy dem crazy,” and “Not cookin pork and chicken while listening to sizzla 😂😂.”
What was more amusing was seeing Rastafarian singer, Zamunda assuming the role of sous chef beside Popcaan in one of the clips.
One of the first to react was Reggae singer Dre Island, who said, “@zamunda_singer the people dem Wah see what you cooking 🤣🤣🤣 cause trouble eno 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 meltttt !!!!” another fan added, “Zamunda nuffi touchy pork enuh 😂😂😂 trouble.”
Although it looked as if he was only assisting in making a vegetable salad.
