Dancehall Artist Xklusive Released After Q&A Grilling From Cops
Dancehall artist Xklusive has been released from police custody.
Attorney-at-law Oswest Senior-Smith, the lawyer representing Xklusive, explained that his client was released from police custody on Saturday. According to Oswest Senior-Smith, Xklusive was merely one of a group of 39 persons who were detained by the police early last week.
“He was never charged for murder, he was asked 31 questions by cops regarding information they had about a murder. The questions revolved around the information they had received. Eventually, he was released on Saturday,” Oswest Senior-Smith told DancehallMag.
The Police Intelligence Unit conducted the question and answer segment, reportedly in relation to several crimes, including a triple killing that occurred in St. Ann last year.
The artist was among the 39 persons initially held in a pre-dawn raid at a popular guesthouse in Discovery Bay, St. Ann on Wednesday. We reported that 36 of the 39 individuals were released by Friday.
Xklusive is known for the 2016 hit song, Big Money Popping (Scammer Dem Yah) and Morgue Dem.
