TeeJay – It’s Where I’m Coming From
Dancehall crooner Teejay has his sight set on where he’s going rather than, “not where I’m coming from” in this new single. In a vow to make positive changes in his life, TeeJay takes viewers to the picturesque landscapes in Portland, Jamaica, and the Rio Grande estate to deliver this touching and motivational song.
“You see me, nah do the same ting weh mi do 2020, I swear. Man nah make the same mistakes dem over and over again … Man a make changes in a mi life,” he promises. In the end he shares a message to his viewers, “Believe in a yuh self youth… Up Top Boss seh dat. Achieve goals yuh hear, not football goal.”
Much like It’s Where I’m coming From, Teejay’s other singles such as From Rags To Riches, Investing and Changes In Life all sing a similar tune, and that is his pledge to keep making upful strides in his life.
Konshens – Can’t Stay Sober
In a heavy confessional, Dancehall artist Konshens reveals an addiction he simply can’t shake. With the worries of the world on his shoulders, “Man a bawl hungry, ah lick pickney from all angle,” along with the dismal pressures among ghetto people, the lies and betrayal from politicians, and his saving trickling away, the deejay says this would mad anyone.
“I can’t stay sober when the world a move like everything a go wrong, nuttn nah move right. Cant stay pon the ground, man haffi turn up, ganja haffi burn up …Marijuana a mi visa, in a di ghetto feel like me deh a Ibiza,” his says. He’s no alcoholic but its how he blocks out his troubles and float through all of this misery.
Konshens was recently featured in the single Change Of Thought with German Reggae artiste, Gentleman that dropped three weeks ago. He also has another new track Celebration, which released earlier this month.
Rosh Rebel – Run Come
Newcomer Rosh Rebel also known as the Yellow Boss spurs all kinds of feels and sweet effervescent vibes on this ultra-new Reggae-rock rhythm. “Run Come gimme likkle loving, your tender kiss and rubbing … I want to be wrapped up in your arms/ hold me till the break of dawn,” Rosh swirls in a fluent fusion of smooth soul and contemporary RnB flows to issue a starry-eyed love song for the springtime.
Though new to the game, Rebel has a couple of previously released singles, namely Tomorrow, Lock Down With Me, Glow, Give Me Love, Real Love and Hold On, all of which you can depend on for some conscious-driven lyrics to drive positive vibrations and pure love through music.
Worm Bass – Follow You
Bass player turn recording artist Worm Bass brings a spiritual delivery on an Afrobeat style rhythm to express his dedication to Jah. Capturing breathtaking views across several locales on the island in the music video, Worm Bass tells Jah he will follow him everywhere he leads him. “Follow you that is the way, Kingston to New York to Lagos, no worries cause I keep my faith up.”
“Jah Jah you’re my savior … your energy flowing through my veins … since I met you I’ve never been the same,” he rejoices in lyrics.
As he transitions into a career as a Reggae singer, Worm Boss has a few other tracks, his latest is an official single, Royalty produced by Courtney “Bubblaz” Edwards for the M.A.D Production record label. It was released in August 2019 and can be found on all music distribution platforms.
Yungg Trip & Perfect Giddimani – My Stoner Friend
From one stoner friend to the next, only they will “comprehenda” how the words connect to make the music flow when under the influence. Reggae singer, Perfect Giddimani presents his latest single My Stoner Friend as such, just a guy hanging out, smoking the herb, and feeling ‘high like an antenna’ while formulating his out-of-this-world lyrics for the track.
The riddim and beat for the single was produced by American producer, Yungg Trip. Perfect Giddimani just released another new single, Good Bye last month and another in January entitled, Bobo Pot (Ital Kitchen).
D’yani – Birthday
Every girl wants a guy like D’yani, just check out how he spoils his many lady friends on their Birthday in this new single. “Girl get yuh hair done, mani, pedi and yuh face done. It’s your birthday girl!” he boasts. Nothing is unattainable, champagne – “money haffi spend” – a trip to Spain, shopping sprees, diamond rings, and the list goes on and on, he’ll give it all because it’s your birthday. The visuals match the narrative where he spoils his ladies with loads of gifts and flowers, while one lucky girl even snags a brand new Audi.

Gyptian, ZJ Liquid & Chico – Dah Wine
On a heavy-hitting baseline mixed in with lively violin playing acoustics, courtesy of mixmaster, ZJ Liquid , Dancehall artistes Gyptian and Chico tells listeners about ‘dah wine’ of their life, which have apparently left them unable to contain themselves. “Dah wine yah worth more dan a million, possibly a billion, sup’n great bout dah h— yah …” They go on to detail their spicy rendezvous while commending their muse for her dexterous lovemaking skills.
Gyptian’s most recent release Best Life dropped in January, leaving a pretty big impression on the fans. The music video has racked up over 1 million views and counting on YouTube after two months of its debut. While Chico’s last release was Tek One Fi Di Team .
Bugle – A Voice
Reggae singer, Bugle sees right through these fake preachers and impersonators that try to brainwash the people. “Everybody have a voice but a nuh every man a use it right. Nuff weh a talk bout Jesus, most a dem nuh know bout Christ,” he says, that’s why he doesn’t follow everything that people tell him. Bugle scolds, “Use yuh brain and stop use yuh tongue talk,” empty barrels he calls them, “dem argument whack,” so don’t believe that.
The singer’s latest singles prior were Brighter Days, which released earlier this month, Right Timing last month and Dutty Foot Cant Step Clean in January. The Reggae star was also featured on Sean Paul’s latest album, Live N’ Living that dropped a little over a week ago on the track Danger Zone with Sotta Bless.
