Rytikal Drops Visuals For ‘Living’ Ahead Of A New Mixtape: Watch
Eastsyde Records deejay Rytikal did not waste time to release his latest single Living. The track and visuals were released on Friday, after the deejay was granted bail on Thursday by the Gun Court on illegal possession of a firearm and ammunition charges. Rytikal, whose real name is Ryan McFarlane, was ordered to surrender his travel documents and comply with a curfew order as part of the conditions of his $1 million bail.
The 25-year-old is also currently working on a new mixtape. “We are now in the process of dropping a mixtape, with at least 10 tracks, and will feature songs including Galaxy Brain Part 2 , Hard Knock , and Ever Ready ,” Romaine ‘Stan’ McFarlane, the chief executive officer of Eastsyde Records, told DancehallMag .
Living, a One Time Music production on the Big Time Riddim and along with the video by Bussweh Visuals, is now trending at the No. 5 spot on YouTube Jamaica.
The music video finds the EastSyde artist back at work and in the studio recording the song. He’s surrounded by a crew of friends, that appear as if they couldn’t be more thrilled to see the Galaxy Brain artist back at what he does best.
With his recent incarceration on his mind, Rytikal touches on a few sore points in the song. “All when dem block di plane, mi name nuh stop travel,” he sings regarding the authorities confiscating his travel documents. Adamant about his innocence he continues, “The facts all prove sey dem a p—sy but a dem fact ah prove.” The deejay is unbothered nonetheless, he’s just going to “kick back and watch di rookie dem.”
Ask anyone who knows Rytikal, he says he’s a leader, not a “fake-mouth” and will continue doing good. For now, “I’m just living doing what I’m supposed to, mi a focus pon mi business …” he sings on the chorus.
Demonstrating that he was just living, the deejay posted a video to his Instagram today, which was captioned, “Big up d judge weh gimi bail nuff respect big up d whole jcf as well.”
