Dancehall Star Shenseea Says She’s Never Been In Love
Dancehall starlet Shenseea says she has never been in love.
One thing you can depend on with Shenseea is that she’s always going to keep it real with her fans and that she did during an Instagram Live Q&A on Wednesday night when a flood of inquiries came her way.
Not only did she get candid about the death of her mom and her absentee father, but she also divulged that she has never fallen in love and confirmed that she is still currently single — an intimidating reveal for any suitors.
The Love I Got For U singer and mother of one, 24, was posed the question, ‘Have you ever been in love?’ by a fan, to which she simply ended the discussion with a brisk, “No.” Similarly, when served another, ‘Do u have a man right now?’ Shenseea ended speculation with a straightforward, “No.”
Though she puts her life on display for the world to see on the daily and especially so on Instagram, from sharing countless videos and photos of herself and son Rajeiro, touring for shows and her stage performances, to what she’s currently eating on any given day, the fact that she had never posted or mentioned anything about a significant other simply came off as though she rather keep that part of her life private.
Maybe now the folks will refrain from those timeworn rumors of a love affair with her manager Romeich Major or music producer Rvssian.
She did reveal however that “The day u see me in Thailand, Iceland or Seychelles is the day u can say I’m definitely getting laid” when someone asked which countries she’d like to visit one day.
The ShengYeng Princess kept the funny remarks coming when she quipped a witty comeback to another query, ‘Pregnant soon?’
“Kmt as much as I love my unhatched eggs. F—k that RN … a ni—a gonna have to bring Heaven down on me to knock me up!” she said.
A surprising turn of events and a different stance than the one she had last year when she yearned for another kid online, “Father help me, I want another baby but it seems I’m finna ruin @rajeiro__lee and I one on one relationship – parents of 2 or more, What should I do…how u do you share the love equally?” she wrote on an Instagram video share of Raj telling his mother there was no more room for another baby, especially a little sister.
It seems Raj may have had a hand in this unexpected change in her state of mind, as several other answers during the Q&A would reveal her undying love and awe for her 4-year-old.
“The love for my son is unmatched and unexplainable. I been loved that kid even when I was broke,” she said having been asked how she found out that she was pregnant and her feelings at the time at just 19 years old. “I was happy, 19 years old and I was happy. Don’t be like me guys, you luck probably won’t be the same but I was happy and nervous at the same time.”
She mentioned that it has been hard leaving him to travel for work but does what needs to be done and manages to make time for both. Also one of the most important life lessons that she’d like to teach Raj is to be modest and respectful regardless of person’s status.
Shenseea also had some advice for the students that are doing virtual school and will be sitting the CSEC exams.
“You are smart and you are capable,” she said no matter how challenging online classes may appear to be. Though the Rebel singer disclosed that she had often skipped classes at school, said when the time came around she studied hard and passed her CSEC exams. They too can achieve the same – “You’re capable of passing regardless of the odds.”
More interesting tidbits included the fact that Shenseea does not have a celebrity crush (sorry Dexta Daps).
Also, if it weren’t for music, she’d probably be in jail right now — “God save me. Music saved me.”
On her biggest accomplishment to date, Shenseea answered “The fact that I’m still going strong though people said I would be a 1 hit wonder! You know how amazing that feels? Ha!”
