Lockdowns are in effect again in Jamaica but before they hit the Grammy Kid Koffee appeared to have figured out ‘where she wanted to go’ after she was spotted in new photos making the rounds.

We may finally have the answer to the question posed in her 2020 summer banger, Lockdown, in which she crooned “Where will we go? When the quarantine ting done and everybody touch road?” — the Sharkies Seafood Restaurant on the North Coast.

The new photos appeared online today, courtesy of the restaurant, located on the beach of Salem, Runaway Bay in St. Ann, and Terri, a glam and makeup artist and fan, who requested some snaps with the multiple award-winning Toast celebrity in February.

Yesterday, Sharkies captioned one of the photos, “Koffee pon eh beach 🏖😎”.

But leave it to the fans to stir the pot.

“Koffee a your likkle preps that!!!??😂😂😂😂,” and “A koffee gyal dis?” asked two curious Instagram onlookers.

While another slyly pried, “A fancy dat??” in reference to Koffee’s flame in Lockdown‘s lyrics.  Others jumped the gun and just assumed Koffee and her fan were an item like this one who said: “Koffee yuh ooman pretty doe😍.”

Several people created the perfect blends for the two: “Coffee and creamer, put that together you get coffee creamer 😏😂,” “Koffee and milo,”  “Koffee and mint tea” and “French toast and koffee.”

Every girl koffee take picture wid unuh seh a her ooman it literally coulda juss be a fan,” one person added in regards to Terri, who shared even more photos on Instagram of her encounter with Koffee on March 30, which she captioned “When Outside Did A Keep 🥺”.

Terri later responded to the funny comments and speculation, saying “I’m just fan not her woman or anything and it’s just a normal picture.”

Koffee’s release of Lockdown last July has certainly resonated with the fans in a big way.

The official video surged to the coveted million-views mark on YouTube within 48 hours of its debut, making history as the first single from a Reggae artist to reach that milestone in such a short period of time.

By December, when YouTube’s end-of-year numbers were tallied, Lockdown was the number one streamed video out of Jamaica for 2020 at close to 38 million views. At that time, Koffee said she didn’t expect the single to garner the amount of attention it did but said the support from the public had her humbled and excited.

“At the time I wrote it (Lockdown), it was the beginning of the pandemic and I was looking forward to being able to go out again and have fun. I’m glad people were able to relate to it. 2020 has been an interesting year full of ups and downs and I’m just happy we are able to still connect with each other, especially through music,” she told The Gleaner.

Lockdown struck gold once again, just last week when it won the NAACP Image Award for Outstanding International Song. It’s now currently sitting nicely with more than 47 million views on YouTube.
