Spice Brings A Taste Of “Reggae Sumfest” To Safaree And Erica Mena’s Backyard In Georgia
The Queen of Dancehall and Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta (LHHATL) star Spice delivered a surprise performance for Jamaican-American rapper Safaree right in his backyard recently thanks to a secret mission planned by his wife, Erica Mena.
Safaree said the experience felt like ‘Reggae Sumfest came to his yard’ when he apparently walked into his Georgia home to find Spice and four bubbly dancers performing her song Cool It in front of a massive portrait of himself by his swimming pool.
He shared the moment with his Instagram followers yesterday, posting a mini clip of the occasion and tagged the location, ‘Reggae Sumfest’ with the caption,
“It’s official I’m not leaving my house this summer 😂 🇯🇲🇯🇲 My wife just surprised me and brought Jamaica to my backyard. I cannot believe I just walked in my yard and had @spiceofficial performing at my crib Yoooooo this was insaneee omg!!! Yooo thank you wooo much! WOWW I am speechless!! reggae Sumfest in my yard!!! The best part was the big picture of me in the back 🤣🤣🇯🇲🇯🇲🇯🇲.”
There’s no telling what the event was for but it was evidently in complete dedication to Mena’s Jamaican bred husband.
The television personality/model went all out to adorn their pool area with colors and patterns of the Jamaican flag, which covered all the patio chairs and tabletops complete with centerpieces of natively grown flowers and plants.
Even Safaree’s giant photo in the backdrop was a shirtless image of the rapper on a canvas of the flag.
Spice in her usual work-mode sassiness gave what appeared to be a pretty lively performance despite a raving hoard of fans cheering on, but she did get a lone “bap bap” from Safaree and also a “pull up” from Erica.
The followers were just as delighted to see the exclusive taste of Reggae Sumfest of Spice in Safaree’s backyard but several couldn’t help but to comment on their confusion of seeing the couple’s rekindle-ship after their very public “split” not too long ago.
Earlier in February, Safaree, who is widely known as the ex-boyfriend of female rapper, Nicki Minaj’s and like Spice, a cast member on the Love & Hip Hop franchise, took out his frustrations on Twitter to reveal that he was about to end his marriage to Erica.
After claiming that getting married to the 33-year-old mother of his child, was “one of my biggest mistakes,” it didn’t take long for Erica to respond, claiming that the man she once called the love of her life was “the most selfish, vain and inconsiderate person” she had ever come across. Both tweets have since been deleted.

One fan wrote, “NOW APOLOGIZE TO HER!!! You embarrassed and shamed her and never publicly said sorry,” in regards to his messy break-up tweet.
Others agreed, “correct..and a marriage or whatever the relationship is between two persons not the world,” and “rightttttt I 100% agree with you on this one…. I’m glad they worked through this issue and stayed together ❤️.”
It’s not the first time Safaree and Erica have made a spectacle about troubles in their relationship or insinuated a break-up, nonetheless it’s great to see them back in a good place. “This was thoughtful, your wife is crazy but she loves you, make it work!” said one fan with hopes of a bright future for these two.
Mena sure is crazy about her hubby as simply booking Spice for a performance is alleged to run you around US$18,000 plus the added costs for her dancers, hotel accommodation and airline tickets for the crew (first class and economy) and a per diem of US$125 for the entertainer and US$85 for each member of her crew – (although smaller events may be less).
We know it wasn’t Safaree birthday (July 4) or their anniversary (October 7), but it must have been worth it.
Meanwhile, the Queen is gearing up to release her debut album, TEN . She just dropped a new video for Money Walk.
