Shenseea Is Hyped About New Role As Godmother To Romeich’s Newborn Daughter
In not so surprising news, Dancehall songstress Shenseea has revealed that she will be godmother to the newborn daughter of her manager Romeich Major.
The Blessed singer and Major have developed a strong bond since she joined the Romeich Entertainment team four years ago. Shenseea being given the honour of being the newborn’s godmother only serves to underline the family bonds that have been formed.
Romeich first announced that he would be welcoming a baby girl during his interview on Odyssey, Untold Stories with Yendi Phillipps on YouTube which was previously filmed but posted on April 4. On the same day, he shared the news his daughter was born.
“From you know me you know fatherhood is everything to me. Happy to share that I have a little girl,” he wrote in an IG post.
Shenseea shared her excitement via her Instagram stories. “My godbaby on the way, there’s my godbaby,” she said before Romeich corrected her saying: “Godbaby born already.”
“The exclusive on my snap, the exclusive,” she added after the interjection before playfully adding: “Feel like a Yendi alone can get exclusive? Weh yuh know bout this? That’s my goddaughter y’all.”
The singer was clearly infatuated with the idea of being a godmother and kept sharing the news with zeal. “Guys I been letting y’all talk what y’all wanna talk but you know, yeah, that’s my goddaughter. She is here, she is beautiful. I can’t wait til y’all see her,” she added.
There’s no indicator as to when fans will catch a glimpse of Romeich’s baby girl but even that Shenseea insinuated she wanted to be involved in.
“Think I’m going to take the first picture and put it on the ‘Gram and say, ‘This is my baby y’all’, tek it weh from Romeich,” she continued. “Him nah get fi post the first picture. Mi a thief it.”
She also shared that DJ Blackboi is the godfather of the child.
Romeich has one son Xzander who lives overseas, and plays an active role in Shenseea’s five-year-old son, Rajeiro’s life as a father figure. Fatherhood has been a source of inspiration for him and helps him push more in the music biz, he revealed during the aforementioned interview.
“I have Xan, and when I got him, that really turned me into a man. And den mi tell miself seh whatever I couldn’t have back then, because family did treat mi bad. So mi tell miself seh mi haffi just work hard and mek sure seh mi son can good.”
He also described his company as a big family and so it should come as little surprise that he’s given Shenseea such an important role.
“We a everything. Wi a family, wi a friend, wi good inna everyway. Like, if she [Shenseea] nuh good, mi nuh good, and if mi nuh good, she nuh good.If she cry, mi cry, if she happy, wi happy.”
