Dancehall fashionista-cum-deejay Shizzle Sherlock is amped up about the initial reaction to his latest single, Bad Vibes, a dancehall trap song that is catching fire stateside.

The boastful track finds Shizzle Sherlock teaming up with R & B singer True Jackson, and dancehall deejay Daine Blaze as they go bar for bar about the good life, hot females, marijuana, flashy cars and stacking bricks, all at breakneck speed. Bad Vibe is a classic summer anthem made to be played at full volume in the car and at the club, and is available now on all streaming platforms.

“The song is generating a big look, especially on the east coast of the United States, we will be dropping visuals for Bad Vibes this Summer. The song hot, ah the hottest song right now as a Top Coote,” Shizzle Sherlock said.

The Bad Vibe single, which was released in 2020, comes on the heels of the success of his hit song, Tink a Chattingz.

Shizzle Sherlock,  known for his flamboyant dressing and his ability to conjure up new slangs, introduced a new slang that he claims captures the essence of dancehall chic and modeling, which is dubbed (drum roll please)…it’s a big look.

“Ah overseas mi de, and ah check out the dancehall scene and mi see the modeller dem a walk, mi see the big dog dem a walk, and mi say, ah me have the style fi the modelers who ah walk out and do the money pull up, and mi just hold the mike and shout, ‘it’s a big look!’ and the slang just tek off inna Philly and New York,” he said.

He explained that the slang ‘it’s a big look’ will get a major upgrade in the lexicon in the foreseeable future.

“It’s a big look means that you can expect something big and unexpected to happen, something to shake up the place , it builds the expectation and the hype. Just watch when COVID over, it’s going to be a big look,” he said.

While Shizzle was on tour last year, the world was tragically hit with the COVID-19 pandemic, stopping every artist from doing shows and live appearances. The pandemic stopped artists from seeing fans up close and personal, but it didn’t stop Shizzle Sherlock from making music for his fans. He ramped up on his creative juices and he is gearing up to release  a barrage of new songs, ‘Know Di Know’ featuring Vickylee, which is produced by Bad Bunna Entertainment and Headake Records.

Another song to look out for is  ‘Make Money’ featuring Peppagad, which is produced by Peppa Squad Records.

Shizzle Sherlock, whose real name is Omar Barker, was born in Mount Salem in Montego Bay.

His love for fashion outpaced his talent for cricket while he was in high school, and as soon as he graduated, he started out with a trio known as the Sherlock Family.

His zany fashion sense made headlines and soon, this led to bookings in countries such as England and Canada, and he hasn’t looked back since.

“It’s a big look,” he said.

Indeed.
