Blvk H3ro – It Nuh Easy
When everyone’s life is full of despair, leave it to Blvk H3ro to talk up for his people. Appearing in a new music video for his single It Nuh Easy, the Reggae crooner platforms a small television in the most random of places to show the clamoring news-bulletins of recent crimes in the country and tragedies of our neighbors. From the death of Clarendon teacher, Nattalie Dawkins, and 20-year-old Khanice Jackson to the La Soufrière volcano eruption in St Vincent among other heartrending cases, H3ro quotes an old Jamaican proverb, “When donkey say the world nuh level mi believe him” in his verses to highlight the existing inequality that exists in society and to journey the highs and lows with the masses.
Rytikal – Smoke My Troubles Away
With his legal woes hovering over his head, Rytikal is the least bit worried, “How mi fi stress and mi know weh grade sell?” he sings in this new single to then fire up his weed and ‘smoke his troubles away’. “As sump’n bodda mi, mi get a bag ah mi weed, mi nuh bodda fi stress ..” Not even if his girl ups and leaves or fake friends try to upset his mood, this Dancehall star says he just rises above it all like the smoke from his weed. The usually tongue-slinging deejay takes an easy lyrical cruise on this one to embody his lax approach to life during the tough times. The track is a hit with the fans, surging to No. 5 trending on YouTube Jamaica since its release three days ago.
Teejay – Serious Times
Dancehall deejay, Teejay has left us wanting more in this new release, Serious Times. Performing some intoxicating sultry bars on a Reggae-soul style baseline, Teejay reminds us of his gifted musical chops and diverseness as a musician. The narrative implores the ghetto youths to wise up in these serious times, “Don’t be a fool in a dem time yah. Go fi want you want enuh youth, keep your eyes on the prize now…” he sings in expressive tones while exuding spiritual feels throughout the song.
TeeJay – Rich
Teejay also followed up with another single Rich this week, and as if continuing his conversations with the ghetto youths, shares his struggles growing up in a board house in the inner city with little to eat, no bed to sleep on, and a mother who would cry at nights for failing to provide more. The Up Top Boss has made it now, “Life change up” his son will never have to endure what he did, his Benz is parked up on the hill with the big house. Mom is proud and life is sweet Teejay says, “Ghetto youths a who dem a trick?” there’s more to life and they can achieve it too. Rich is trending at the No. 12 spot on YouTube Jamaica with more than 150k views since its release two days ago.
Stylo G Featuring Busta Rhymes – Outta Space
Never to conform to the norm, Stylo G and Busta Rhymes aren’t your typical earthman but are rather from outer space … “Outta space we deh, outta space we gone. I just the way I stay ah di way mi born,” explains Stylo. They are, however, the envy of others but Busta is a force to be reckoned with, fueled by their hate it simply increases his drive. The two flex their fierce out-of-this-world prestige in swift hard-hitting flows on a heavy baseline for a great listen, making this one a must-have for your playlist.
Jahmiel – Live It Up
Jahmiel is back in another new music video this week with his single Live it Up. On a renewed path of late, the Dancehall artiste has focused his music on more positive and uplifting narratives. In this one he encourages all to live their lives to the fullest and achieve life’s richest offerings, “stack up the cheese (money) and get your milli up, he sings.” In a colorful and fun display by RD Studios, Jahmiel takes us back to the sci-fi movie, Honey I Shrunk The Kids, which sees a pint-sized version of himself among toy cars being shoved around by a kid as he dishes his inspiring verses. Dre Island X SkilliBeng – High Times
Dre Island is oozing all kinds of sultry feels with some smooth RnB flows on this one. Immersing the track with his ‘Island’ vibe crooning, he sets a pretty nice tone to insert Skillibeng’s precipitated traphall bars. The two have their eyes set on “high times”, preeing their papers, a couple of acres, and just smoking that ‘good kush’ to get them through the day. The track and music video is certainly pulling in the fans and is now sitting at the No. 6 spot on trending YouTube Jamaica.
Skillibeng Featuring Young M.A – Money Counter
The Dancehall fresh prince Skillibeng is working overtime we see, appearing on another new single with American rapper Young M.A. on the single Money Counter this week. For Skilli counting his cheese can take a toll, “Money counter, counting machine. Fat stack a cheese … million a dweet, mi nuh see wha 30 grand achieve,” he says. Young M.A. flexes her rich lifestyle too with great efforts to match Skilli’s Dancehall flows. Listen here –

Zerimar – Good Brain
The ever chill and ever cool, Zerimar brings his Trinibad style and flow on his new single Good Brain. In the song Zermar lauds his college sweetheart, she has that magic that curbed his philandering ways. He’s moved by her loyalty too, she’s been there when he had nothing and so he is going to make sure that she’s there when he’s on top.
Intence – Who & Dem + Intence vs. Tashawn
In a new music video courtesy of KD Visuals for his single Who & Dem off his upcoming Wounded EP, Intence asks his haters, “Ah who and dem?” to flaunt his badness to those trying to push their meek threats his way. The YengBadness deejay is not one to mess with and is as coldhearted as they come, “Bwoy weh love chat, better low the gram, mi send mi gal fi date yuh because you ready fi go out,” he warns – its as easy as that.
Intence also dropped new visuals for another track off his EP, Intence vs. Tashawn to bring life to an interesting conversation between him and himself. The video shows they are very much the same, these two; the hair, tattoos, the jewels and the swag. It’s just their attire that sets Intence and Tashawn apart although there is a slight difference in the pitch of their voice. The Intence vs. Tashawn music video is trending at No. 14 on YouTube Jamaica. Watch below –
