Pamputtae Hits Back At Critics Who Say ‘Heavy Gold Digga’ Promotes The Wrong Values

Dancehall artist Pamputtae has come out swinging against critics who say her latest single ‘Heavy Gold Digga’ promotes the wrong values among women.

According to Pamputtae, Heavy Gold Digga is a female empowerment song and while she admits that it encourages women to extract money from men,  she notes that it is not without cause.

“It is more like a woman empowerment song because a lot of females a go through this,” said Pamputtae who referred to cheating men.

“It is not like I am sending anyone to go sell themselves but sometimes you are tired of being this good, good person and then you no really get no thanks or no respect,” added Pamputtae who noted that gold digging was a way to level the playing field.

Pamputtae noted that she was not promoting gold digging in general but noted that she supported such actions under the circumstances that it can assist women in punishing unfaithful men through their pockets.

Written by Pamputtae and artiste, producer and songwriter Esco, Heavy Gold Digga talks about women refusing to take consistent disrespect from their male partners who unapologetically cheat.

“There is a saying that who can’t hear must feel. When you are good to a man and he can’t stop his gyallis lifestyle then it’s understandable when we switch from being the good girlfriend to a heavy gold digger,” Pamputtae explained

Pamputtae shared that she had personally been in relationships with unfaithful men and so she believes other women can also relate to this situation.

According to the dancehall diva, she wants men to realize that women are hurt by their infidelity and the best way to return the hurt is through their pocket..

“If you have a good woman and you are hurting her with all these outside relationships, she may not leave you physically but emotionally she gone and a just money she start defend and it’s all your fault, you need to value a good woman,” Pamputae added.

Pamputtae, whose real name is Eveana Henry, rose to stardom with the single Goody Good in 2010.
