Attorneys Dismiss Milton “One1can” Wray’s Statements About Miss Kitty As “All Lies”
Media practitioner Milton Wray, who goes by the stage-name One1-Can, has been rebuked for telling untruths about being romantically sought after by Miss Kitty, among a myriad of other things.
Attorneys Wilkinson Law, in a stern letter of rebuke addressed to Wray, reprimanded him for his recent statements which they said was a ploy to get people to listen to his new song, using Miss Kitty’s name and image as “clickbait”.
Wray had claimed, among other things, that Miss Kitty, who is an attorney-at-law, had wanted him to be her boyfriend, and made what the lawyers described as other false allegations about purchasing large volumes of food comprising two meals for her, as well as accusing her of encouraging women to engage in illicit and immoral acts.
However, according to the attorneys, this was all a story Wray concocted about the Norman Manley Law school graduate, in an attempt to exploit her name and fame to advance his promotion agenda for his new song titled VIP Girl.
“The entire story of a date with our client is a total fabrication by you, an attention-seeking gimmick you aimed at attaching yourself to our client’s name, goodwill, popularity, her successful brand and seeking to exploit or gain access to her audience, fans and supporters including her followers (cumulatively, in excess of one million persons) on various social media platforms. Apparently this big and outrageous lie, is to promote your fledging recording (VIP Girl) and the music video for it,” the attorneys wrote in a letter addressed to Wray.
“Our client categorically denies ever going on any date with you. Our client did not order any meal as there was never any such date between our client and yourself at Peppers as alleged, or anywhere else,” the attorneys emphasized.
“There was no burgeoning romance or any romance at all, nor were there any dalliances between our client and yourself,” they added.
The attorneys also indicated that Miss Kitty has never had any conversations with Wray, and frontally dismissed it as another untruth in his long string of falsehoods.
“Our client did not have the alleged conversation with you. Our client has never had any close conversations with you. Our client has never had any close association with you nor spoken to you as alleged,” the letter said.
The letter also said that contrary to Wray’s rant, Miss Kitty has used her influence and various platforms to “educate, elevate inspire and motivate everyone, particularly women and young girls”, which is a daily practice on her various social media posts and her utterances on her programme Miss Kitty Live, where she has dedicated numerous monologues to this issue.
The attorneys also rubbished Wray’s claims that their client was encouraging women to prostitute themselves and didn’t believe in important values of self-esteem, dignity and respect.
“Our client has encouraged women to have their own autonomy and independence whether through academic means or upgrading their skills in other respects which she has done herself leading by example and practicing what she preaches consistently,” the letter said.
“Our client has encouraged women to have their own money or resources and not to rely on men.”
“Our client has never encouraged women to prostitute themselves or to take advantage of men. Indeed, our client is vehemently opposed to such conduct and has used her stated influence on various platforms to speak out against women seeking to exploit men and the potential dangers inherent in such behaviour and our client has consistently extolled the virtues of men and women growing together and strengthening their partnership, particularly where they started together as young persons with little or nothing,” the letter added.
The lawyers said the statements were made deliberately with the intention to lower the Mere Grove High School old girl’s reputation, in the estimation of well-thinking members of society, and were deliberately calculated to ruin and harm her reputation, and has caused her “great distress”.
