Rytikal Returns To Gun Court For Trial Today
Dancehall artist Rytikal heads to the Gun Court today for trial on gun charges. The 25-year-old King Ina War deejay is being represented by attorney-at-law Able Don Foote
“We will let you know what happens later today,” Able Don Foote told DancehallMag.
He will have to answer to charges of illegal possession of firearm and ammunition following an incident on January 28. Police reported that cops were on patrol in Eight Miles, Bull Bay, St Andrew when McFarlane was reportedly seen acting in a suspicious manner.
Police reportedly questioned the artiste and following a search of his car, a Taurus .380 pistol with 12 rounds of ammunition were found.
Rytikal reportedly told the police that the weapon was a prop for a music video, however, he was taken into custody and later charged.
Rytikal, whose real name is Ryan McFarlane, had been granted $1 million bail on March 24th and as part of his bail conditions, the entertainer was ordered to report to the Bull Bay Police Station on Wednesdays and Saturdays and abide by a 6am to 6pm curfew order.
He surrendered his travel documents and the court also imposed a stop order at all ports.
In the meantime, the deejay is generating a major buzz with with his latest single, Smoke My Troubles Away, a weed-loving tribute which was released on April 20 or 4/20. The visuals for the single racked up close to 252,000 views in the first six days.
A previous single, Living, also did well, reaching number five on YouTube’s trending chart to mark the day he was granted bail on March 24.
