‘Bad Gyal’ Denyque: Fans Loving Dancehall Singer’s New Look

Do you remember when Rhianna went from dropping her second studio album A Girl Like Me to her third album Good Girl Gone Bad? The transition was major in terms of sound and look. It seems like Jamaican singer Denyque is undergoing a similar transition as she debuted a new look over the weekend.

Denyque has dropped her innocent image for an edgier look with a new hairstyle, and a new more racy wardrobe.

Slicked to perfection, with not even a fly away visible, Denyque stunned in a braided low ponytail accented with neatly laid baby hairs, turning heads on Instagram.

However it wasn’t just her hairdo, but fans were stunned (in a good way) when Denyque rocked a long sleeve, breast exposing mesh crop top complete with nipple covers paired with a pair of skin-tight black leather pants.

What’s more is that she put any speculation to rest as it relates to the look she was trying to achieve with a chunky choker style necklace that reads, ‘Sexy’.

Sexy indeed, and the new look connected with fans and industry colleagues who couldn’t help but comment on how good the Make Me Believe You artist looked.

“Girrrrrlllll yuh come out stronga dan mi ginger tea,” said Terri Karelle who reacted to Denyque’s post.

“Honey out here stepping on necks,”added another.

Denyque burst onto the music scene in 2008 where she has steadily been increasing in popularity with singles such as Summer Love, Supergirl, and Juggling Hearts.

After getting married on New Year’s Day in 2017 to Careem Mullings, and later having two children, Denyque took a hiatus from the music business.

She returned in 2020 with her most recent song, a collab with Shaniel Muir titled Same Guy that has catapulted her back into the spotlight.
