Minister Marion Hall Orders Critics To “Don’t Even Start” After Sharing New “Sexy” Outfit
Female members of the Dancehall and Reggae fraternity are running to gospel deejay Minister Marion Hall’s defence after she posted a photo of herself clad in what some may consider to be ‘too-sexy’ clothes.
The former Dancehall Queen sought to issue a disclaimer for those who may think the photo was reminiscent of her ‘Lady Saw days’.
“I wanted to post my pictures from Saturday when I went out to eat by the beach, However, I held back because I know some of you will judge me over my outfit. Don’t even start!!!” she wrote on her Instagram page, a seeming reminder of her response to criticisms in February where she was upbraided by some Christians for wearing clothing which showed, in their estimation, “too much cleavage”.
The current photo of the Room in My House gospel deejay shows her clad in a white mini-dress which shows off her bosom, paired with a grey jacket.
On music producer and Zip FM disc jockey ZJ Sparks’ Instagram page where the photo was shared, she encouraged Hall to carry on with whatever she is doing, as she was looking lovely.
“But God seh yuh fi tek care ah yuh temple and yuh follow di orders ministermarionhall,” Sparks wrote.
Also complimenting the buxom St. Mary native was Can You do the Wuk artiste Ce’Cile.
“She looks great,” Ce’Cile wrote.
But it was Reggae artist Shuga who voiced a scathing rebuke of those who dared to criticize the Dancehall legend’s mode of dress.
“Mi seh it bun mi fi see some of the comments bout her dressing not appropriate, because she’s a woman God. I’m so happy God is focused on the heart and soul, many of you who are high and holy ina unu long sleeve turtleneck dress going straight to hell because yaaal not right on the inside,” she wrote.
“Leave people alone and let God work, he’s here for sinners, not the righteous, so since yaaal know it all already just be quiet and let God do his work,👀 so quick to cast judgment kmdt and call unu self Godly,” the former Digicel Rising Stars winner added.
Shuga was supported by ann.c.rus, who told her that her statements were the “comment of the era”.
“Them not even a try live for God and a take up position to be Righteous Judge … only God can Judge… @ministermarionhall fearfully and wonderfully made,” she wrote.

In February, Hall, who is an ordained Minister of Religion, had responded frontally in an IG video to critics regarding a photograph which she had shared on social media, in which she sported a cleavage-showing blouse while “out for lunch with the girls”.
“I just wanna do this short video to address the comments that I heard some of you judging me because I have some cleavage. I can’t help myself. I can’t help myself baby boys. God is the one who create this body and guess what? I can’t do anything about what God bless me with. If god bless me with some boobs, then I got some boobs. Sometimes I’m preaching they fall, they jump out. Can I stop that? No, because God has enhanced me naturally,” she had stated.
Hall had also repudiated statements by some social media users that she appeared to be ‘backsliding’, indicating instead that she was simply “dressing according to the occasion” arguing that it was she “cant be covered every day” in Miami as the city was hot.
“You won’t see me on the road in the big hats that you see me preaching in and the long dresses. If I dress like that you say I look old. I wear shorts and I wear skirts, not way up but I wear skirts. I got tattoos, yeah, I got a few a them so what can I do? I can’t please you baby,” the Oh Lord we Need You artiste said at the time.
“God cares for what is behind the heart…not my boobs. If that’s all you see I guess they look good right? I’m still a Christian. I’m still Marion, not Lady Saw. If you know me by now you would know that I don’t care what they say about me, you don’t have the keys to heaven so you can’t stop me if I’m going or not… I’m so blessed and I love my body… I’m a sexy Christian,” she had declared.
