Downsound Records-recording artist D’Yani is quite upbeat about the success of his song Feelings.  Since Dancehall singer Jada Kingdom jumped on the song’s remix, the original version has also gotten a new lease on life.

Both versions of Feelings were produced by Nicholas ‘Echobeats’ Graham. The original version was released last November, while the remix with Jada was released on May 8.

Since its upload to YouTube, the video for Feelings has garnered more than 204,000 views on YouTube, while the remix has racked up more than 307,000 views and ranked at number three on the local YouTube Trending list up to Thursday May 13.

D’Yani explained how Jada got involved with the remix of the song.

“Her sister introduced her to the music and we connected and decided to do some work and this is one of them. The response has been really amazing,” said D’Yani.

He spoke about the song’s inspiration.

“Feelings was inspired by love and the impact it has people. With that being said we all want to experience the ‘ideal love’ and this song evoked that feeling. Very relatable, just like anyone I aim to experience this kind of love.”

Feelings is also doing well regionally and in parts of Europe. In Australia, it peaked at number six on the iTunes Reggae chart on May 11. In February, it checked in at number eight on the iTunes Reggae chart in Switzerland.

On May 13, Feelings was ranked number three on Shazam (Jamaica) Top 200 moving three places. It also charted on Shazam charts in St Kitts and Nevis (number three up four places), Anguilla (number eight), St Vincent and the Grenadines (new at number thirteen), Turks and Caicos (number 32), Sint Maarten (number 38 up 107 places), St Lucia (number 41 up 30 places) and Dominica (new at 52).

Three other songs by D’Yani are also making moves on the iTunes Reggae charts.  You’re Mine Still (produced by Snyth-fluence and Selectorrolexx Productions) rose to number six in Switzerland last month, while Give Away My Love (produced by Kev Star Records) hit number one in Switzerland.
