Shenseea Treats Die-Hard Fans With Cash, Gifts On ‘Yeng Day’
Dancehall starlet Shenseea has dubbed today May 20, Yeng Day, which marks the anniversary of her breakthrough single, ShengYeng Anthem that was released three years ago today, and what she says holds sentimental meaning to her.
Yeng Day has arrived as an opportunity for the star to give back to the die-hard fans that have supported her throughout her career. “Today is the day that I’m gonna show you all that I appreciate you so much,” she said on her Instagram Live earlier.
For the occasion, Shenseea will be lathering her ShengYengz (i.e. her fans) with gifts and gratuities galore, some of which include supporting 5-10 GoFundMe accounts, contributing to 5 households whether by buying groceries, paying utility bills or any other necessities, paying 5 school tuitions (only primary and high schools) anywhere in the world via bank transfers and posting business pages or links on her Snapchat for the entire day.
Also, 5 lucky fans will be joining her for dinner in LA tonight!

The candidates were randomly selected by completing one of a few prerequisites. Those were either posting a photo taken with her, a Snap of one of her songs, a clip of a concert they attended, or a note expressing what inspired them to become a ShengYeng.
Back home, her team issued roses to her fans in the streets and had them pose for photos by her image on the Romeich Entertainment tour bus.
The day kicked off with many fans gladly supporting the Yeng Day movement. Shenseea has been reposting all the above-mentioned efforts of her ShengYengz, from some vibing to her songs to videos they took of her performances on stage. True to her word, she also promoted several business services and products offered by her ShengYengz.

The Dancehall singer said the ShengYeng Anthem was written in complete dedication to her fans, by way of wanting to truly connect with them on a deeper level. “I told my team, I wanna do a song for ma fans, I don’t want to say ‘just big up my fans’, mi want when dem hear it dem feel empowered, dem step out, dem gwan bad, dem represent fi dem self and who they are,” she said on IG today.
Shenseea said with the support of her fans, the record went on to solidify her position in the industry and for that, she wants to give back.
“I remember sitting on my hotel Balcony in Tobago like it was yesterday. This song is so sentimental to me because a lot of persons didn’t see the power in it, I saw the vision and manifested it 💯 and in addition, it connects me with my #ShenYengz!” she wrote on her post.

ShengYeng Anthem is one of Shenseea’s best performing singles to date. The Chimney Record produced track was featured on the Rice Grain Riddim back in 2018 and has currently locked in over 10 million streams.
