Masicka Drops First Single ‘Different Type’ From Debut Album, ‘4.3.8’

Dancehall artist Masicka has released the highly anticipated first single from his debut album, 4.3.8, entitled Different Type. In a year that will probably see a record number of Dancehall album releases, the Top Striker deejay has a studio project of his own and is now unloading lyrical bombs.

In the RD Studios visuals released today, Masicka spits rapid-fire bars that he’s become known for while several machete-wielding “strikers” lend cred to his lyrics.

“Different type a killa wi nuh pretend strika, Different type a p-ssy pon mi c-cky dawg, mi b-tch dem hypa (Different) // Different type a money yo wi live dem life yah // Different type a strain inna mi brain sumaddy swing mi lighta // Show mi dem bring di fighta // Swing di lef an swing dem right yah,” he sings on the chorus.

Expensive whips and several video vixens add more flare to the visuals which also include a brief cameo from the break-out artist, Nation Boss.   The Humans singer’s appearance in the video had some fans hoping that an upful collab was in the works for the album.

There is no denying the talent the Portmore native has displayed over the years and the album faces high expectations.  “Who feel this ago be one a the sickest album in a Dancehall?” wrote one hopeful fan.

It’s unclear whether recent hits like Corner with Tarrus Riley, and I Wish have been tipped to make the lineup.  There has also been no confirmation of a release date for the project.  But you can press play on the new visuals above.
