After dropping a Crocodile Teeth remix with rapper Nicki Minaj, Dancehall deejay Skillibeng released his The Prodigy: Ladies Only Edition album on May 28.

The 21-track album included singles like Sloppy, which attracted a lot of attention for its controversial music video and viral challenge.  Skilli also teamed up with rappers Rich The Kid and Jay Critch (Real Boss, 2Gyal) as well as female deejay Honey Milan on the scammer anthem Chappa Gyal — all geared towards the St. Thomas native’s female fans.

The Prodigy: Ladies Only Edition sold 25 copies in pure album sales in the United States, according to data provided to DancehallMag by sales tracker MRC Data (formerly Nielsen SoundScan).   Total consumption from pure album sales plus stream equivalent albums was 300 units.

The album’s total streams from audio and video in the US for the period May 28 to June 10 was 381,000, according to MRC Data.

Sloppy‘s producer, Minto Play Da Riddim, told the STAR today that he was happy with the song and its accompanying #sloppychallenge after previously producing Run with the deejay.

“Right now Skillibeng is the face of dancehall, so it was only right to work with him again,” the California-based producer said confidently.

Alkaline‘s Top Prize album, released on May 14, sold 58 copies in its third week for a total 1,647 in pure sales in the US.

Meanwhile, on the Billboard Reggae Albums chart, which considers sales and streaming in the US, Bob Marley And The Wailers’ Legend: The Best Of Bob Marley And The Wailers continues its reign at No. 1 for the 74th consecutive week.

Shaggy‘s Best of Shaggy: The Boombastic Collection is at No. 2.

American Reggae band Stick Figure holds the No. 3 and 4 spots with their World on Fire and Set In Stone albums respectively, while Sean Paul‘s Dutty Classics Collection dropped to No. 5 this week.

Bob Marley and the Wailers’ Exodus is currently at No. 6, with Sean Paul’s Dutty Rock at No. 7.

Bob Marley and the Wailers’ Gold album is at No. 8, followed by UB40’s Labor Of Love at No. 9 and Falling In Place by Rebelution at No. 10.
