Queen of Dancehall and Love and Hip Hop: Atlanta star Spice is set to release her debut album, TEN, on July 30, 2021, after 22 years in Dancehall.

The LP will arrive just a few days before her 39th birthday and the Queen, whose real name is Grace Hamilton, reflected on her journey ahead of the major and long overdue career milestone.

In an Instagram post this morning, Spice shared a photo from her recent Atlanta Black Star sitdown where she was decked out in a stunning black ensemble.  She declared in the caption that she “came from the ground up ‼️ I went from Homeless to owning Houses, from one pair of shoe and $0 in my account to now a Millionaire.”

According to the Portmore native, she has had to struggle to build her brand over the last 22 years with “no major support system” behind her.

“For over a decade I’ve been my own Manager, producer, Director, PR, stylist, Social media Manager, creative Director and the long list goes on. Moral of my story, I’ve built brand Spice on my own, I struggled to stay consistent with no major support system behind me, simple because I believed in myself and Never gave up 💙God was my refuge 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾 Besties if the door is closed open it, if the waves get rough ride through the storm,” she wrote.

Once described as the “fashion forward Queen of Dancehall” by VOGUE , Spice is now a successful entrepreneur who has made a name for herself in both beauty and fashion with a make-up line, Faces and Laces, and clothing collection, Graci Noir.  Spice has also been a cast member on VH1’s LHHATL since 2017, which earned her an MTV Reality Royalty Award.

Her illustrious music career has produced hit singles such as So Mi Like It, Romping Shop and Conjugal Visit with Vybz Kartel, and Black Hypocrisy which appeared on her self-released Captured mixtape in 2018. Her latest hit, Go Down Deh with Shaggy and Sean Paul, is poised to be Dancehall’s summer anthem in 2021 after trending for 5 consecutive weeks on YouTube.  The single will appear on TEN, which is executive produced by Shaggy, and will be released by VP Records.

Spice continued in the inspirational post, “If the road is too rocky create another way to drive on, just keep moving and don’t ever look back to listen to the Voices and opinions of people, If you believe God will turn things around for you just type AMEN 🙏🏾”

“I started my career Journey in 1999 and For the first time in my entire career I will officially have my very first Album on JULY 30TH called Ten,” she added. “#SpiceAlbum10 Besties I love you all so much.”

Senior VP of A&R at Universal Music Canada, Kardinal Offishall, responded to the post and wrote, “@spiceofficial what a way that inspired me today. Bless up and big up to you. Love the energy more and more as I continue to follow the journey.”

“From one hard working artist to another I have to say big up @spiceofficial GOD IS STILL IN CONTROL,” Charly Black commented, while Demarco added: “God bless yuh mumma yuh deserve everything you have yuh work hard!!!!🙏🏽🙌🏾.”
