Foota Hype’s Brother Killed In Cassava Piece
Popular sound system selector Foota Hype is mourning the loss of his brother who was shot and killed in Cassava Piece, St. Andrew on Thursday evening.
Foota Hype posted on Instagram today, “RIP Rohan aka Shortman. Walk good brother”.
“I can see clearly the devil is after my soul wich he will never have,” Foota added in the caption.
The Jamaica Constabulary Force’s Communication Unit confirmed the murder of Rohan Rose aka ‘Bourbon’ of a Kingston 8 address at about 5:55 PM, but had no further details.
Sources told DancehallMag that Foota Hype’s brother was a possible case of ‘mistaken identity’.
“The Cassava Piece man dem beat up a man for nothing and the man dig up something and come shoot an innocent man; the man shoot the wrong man, but ah Cassava Piece man dem create the problem, And the man come back come kill ‘Bourbon’, is a man weh drink everyday, and him just inna the wrong place cause him go buy cigarette and ah cross the road the shot ketch him,” the source told DancehallMag.

Dancehall artist Demarco commented on Foota’s post, “Condolences mi bredda”, while Spice wrote, “My condolences.”
Nuffy wrote, “Condolences mi gee sorry fi hear such thing about your brother. Just gwaan wul up mi know u nuh feel the same as the day before because a yuh blood drop, stay sting mi gee”.
Reggae group Morgan Heritage also offered their condolences: “So sorry for your loss bredda, condolences from our family.”
