Fans Imagine Skillibeng As Tommy Shelby From ‘Peaky Blinders’
Fans of Dancehall celebrity Skillibeng were floored on Twitter last week when one imagined him as the fictional British World War I veteran, Tommy Shelby from the crime drama Peaky Blinders which is set in the early 1900s.
The gag seemed to have been initiated by Twitter user Lestan (@lestan22) who posted a photoshopped photo of the usually rugged-looking Brik Pan Brik deejay, decked out in a debonair three-piece suite complete with a vintage newsboy cap, tie clip, and vest chain – which all bears a strong likeness to the attire worn by the Irish actor Cillian Murphy who plays Shelby in the television series.
“Skilli on the set of Peaky Blinders season 7,” said one Twitter user who quickly picked up on the similarity. The BBC show, which airs on Netflix, is a big hit among millennials who are currently waiting on Season 6 to be released. A 7th season is yet to be announced, according to What’s On Netflix.
To add to the already funny image, Skillibeng’s notorious lyric “uno doh grimey” from his hit single Crocodile Teeth was stylized in British slang to read, “Uno doh blimey,” in the caption by @lestan22.

Twitter fans would take the baton from there by re-sharing the photo along with their own tweaked verses from lines in the song.
“Everything will be nonexistent when I get there…..looking ass…” said another person, rephrasing another one-liner in Crocodile Teeth when Skilli says, “everything get f—k when I reach.”
Others chimed in: “Everything f-ck all when I get there innit”, and “Everything will be penetrated upon my arrival,” and also, “Sir Sherlock Beng…… bloody hell when he gets there.”
A few other fans changed gears and instead pulled on verses from one of Skillibeng’s other singles, Coke .
“The aircraft recently crashed with the Cocaine, Nay did I inhale it via my nostril, Sold it I did, as if I owned a bustling establishment,” rhymed one fan.
Someone else sounded off, “The wagon crasheth with thine coke,” and another said, “The aeroplane just crash with the blow.”
Skillibeng’s songs Brik Pan Brik, Mr. Universe, and Shake with Jada Kingdom also got the Shelby treatment from the fans.
