In a rare sighting, Reggae singer Chronixx emerged on social media today to share a note to his fans about ‘self-determination’ with a quote from his fellow Reggae-Rastafarian compatriot, Capleton.

“Self determination,” he wrote, followed by “Self employed can not get lay off…mount a work mi have, cyaah even get a day off” and credited Capleton.

The line was taken from the song Rockstone, a collaboration with Stephen Marley, Sizzla, and Capleton in 2014, which was featured on Marley’s Revelation Part 2: The Fruit of Life album.

In the song, Capleton says he has one thing on his mind, to “trample the beast and make it in a life.” To be self-employed is to have the power to do so, and so he encourages the masses to ‘step out ah Babylon’ one by one.

Chronixx and Capleton have some musical history together, appearing on the single Help The Weak, which was produced TeflonZincFence in 2018. In an interview with Justbuss TV, the ‘Fire Man’ said he met the then 25-year old singer while recording the track at the studio. It was a momentous occasion for Chronixx to meet the veteran deejay, as “he has always wanted to do a combination with Capleton,” he said.

Chronixx added that he immediately “loved the energy and loved the vibe and him say a di song dis,” which led to them recording the single together.

In addition to his dose of inspiration today, Chronixx also treated his Instagram followers to a recent pic posing in front of an SUV.

The second slide appears to be a screenshot of ‘Article 7’ of the United Nation’s International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights, which says – “No one shall be subjected to torture or to cruel, inhuman, or degrading treatment or punishment. In particular, no one shall be subjected without his free consent to medical or scientific experimentation.”

The other snaps that followed would show what the Skankin Sweet singer has been up to these days; music, some herbal remediation, and ital cooking.

“Oh…if you’re cooking and need a likkle sweet energy…use fruits. Nuh Badda wid no process sweetener. Eat rich,” Chronixx advised along with clips of what’s cooking in his pot.

He then added, “Last clip….theme song for the end times…composed 10 years ago,” which saw his band strumming up beats in the studio.
