Dancehall Artist 10Tik Drops Ladies Anthem ‘Burning Issue’: Watch

Dancehall newcomer 10Tik is showing no signs of losing steam following the release of his latest single for the ladies, Burning Issue. Venturing into new territory, the Gwallaz boss delivers a different type of ‘gyallis’ class, one that warns against risking a relationship over reckless behavior.

“Learn and listen”, the former firefighter urges his fans on Burning Issue, mingling good sense with sensual lines on the catchy chorus. “All she want was a little love and she would never turn her back/ Nothing too big, a kiss or a hug and she would never turn her back/ Cause ah nuh like money weh you lose, yuh coulda never earn her back.”

The Roll Deep deejay’s distinct voice delves into the always hot topic of intimate relationships on the Drop Top Records production. 10Tik’s momentous year so far has been missing a ladies anthem, and he wrote on Instagram days before the drop that he would finally “get to please [his] favourite gender”.

“Good woman doh easy fi find”, he declares in his usual smooth register as he puts his signature street smart spin on relationship advice.

The music video was shot at a lush coastal villa by 9 Mile Visuals, who will also handle the clip for 10Tik & Yaksta’s Freedom . Scenes follow a female frustrated with neglect and ill-treatment who eventually ‘turns her back’ on her man to be with 10Tik. The Gangsta deejay goes into counselling mode, spelling out the ways to a woman’s heart and the casual mistakes men make for the sake of the hype. “..You fi grateful, she deh deh even before di plate full/ Neva see none ah dem jump before di stage full/ So doh follow we, cause we wild and free/ Wish I had someone, a little light in this dungeon,” he sings.

Meanwhile, fans are feeling the vivid audiovisuals currently at 60K views and climbing. Many sounded off in the comments about 10Tik’s genius songwriting, his gorgeous co-star and even the clip’s “hilarious” ending.

“Another banger, another number 1.. continue the good work we needed you”, one fan wrote while another viewer said, “Baaaad song and visual!!!! Definitely a another rising star outta di great 876!!!! 🇯🇲.”
