Lavisch Drops Debut EP ‘Vision’
Jamaican singer and songwriter Lavisch is one of the freshest talents and voices to emerge on the island and already she has dropped a new EP titled Vision to showcase her talent. When one is given the nod of approval and even their stage name by an industry giant like Bounty Killer, then you know there must be something special afoot. That’s how the newcomer arrived at her title; after an impressive performance at a concert in the Waterhouse community, Lavisch wowed the iconic Warlord and from there would continue her path to music under the moniker.
Born Brittney Marshall, Lavisch would go on to sign with Luigi Society Music Label headed by producer Romaine Brown in 2020 and after a year of working towards her goals, she has now launched her debut EP, Vision, which was released in July.
Executively produced by her manager and producer, Luigi Society, the 11-track EP features a host of noteworthy acts, namely Reggae sensations Blvk H3ro, Zagga, and Noah Powa, along with West African singer Epixode.
The project also includes productions from prominent producers such as ZJ Chrome, BHMG, Tifah The Queen, Cymatic Audio, Mosiah Muzik, Kev Star Records, as well as Akom Records & Germaica Digital, both hailing from France and Germany respectively.
With a prolific series of releases such as Blessings, Big Life, Nuh Reward, Better Days, Likkle Bit A Faith, Bigga Dan Dat, Beware, Friendship For Sale, More Money Pon More, Broken and Irresponsible to name a few, just in the span of one year, its evident that making music comes naturally to her.
According to a release, “Lavisch writes her own songs, except, she doesn’t physically write but instead flows and memorizes her lyrics once she hears a beat. She gets her inspiration from her personal life and her surroundings.”
In the coming months, Lavish will be dropping a mixtape titled Versatile.
