Dancehall Artist Khxos Is ‘Ok’ After Waving Gun, Sharing Suicidal Thoughts In Instagram Video
Fans of Dancehall artist Khxos (pronounced “Chaos”) were left stunned on Wednesday (August 4) after the singer shared a series of videos on Instagram, where he waved a gun and said that he was contemplating suicide. Born in the parish of St. Elizabeth, Khxos migrated to the US as a teenager and is best known for ear-grabbing hooks in songs like Tambrin. He had released a new music video for an afrobeat-inspired single titled Runaway last week.
In videos shared to his Instagram Story yesterday, Khxos, whose real name is Oshane Logan, revealed he no longer found happiness in life and, though he wanted to live for the sake of his son, he had ‘mentally checked out’.
“Big up everyone that supported me over the years from family to friends everybody you get me really appreciate it… What me bout fi do, what me bout fi seh, a go come off as a shocker to many people cause me know many people truly love and look out for me u zimi,” Khxos began. “This decision I am about to make has nothing to do with music, it has nothing to do with one sole person but just mentally exhausted and check out mentally like real talk – I checked out mentally for a year and change if not more you zimi.”
Throughout Khxos’ videos, he alluded that he was intent on committing suicide, and in one clip the singer waved a gun.
“Like this decision really hurt because, me really love me youth (yute), and me did really want to live to see him grow but me just can’t do it. for me there is just no more happiness in this sh-t, not with music, not with friendships, not with nothing yuh zimmi I just made a lot of F—- up choices, a lot of poor decisions,” Khxos added.
Following Khxos’ posts, his friend DJ Stretch took to Instagram to share that the artist was “ok” and “in good hands”.
“For everyone asking Khaos is ok just do his loved ones a favor a keep him your prayers 🙏🏽🙏🏽,” Stretch captioned a video yesterday.
“So for everybody that’s concerned about Khxos and what’s going on with him, he’s good, he’s fine. I am just asking everyone to just please say a prayer for him, ” he said. “Keep him in your prayers, he’s good, he’s is in good hands now and I guess in the coming weeks you’ll hear directly from him.”

Over the weekend, DancehallMag had spoken with the artist about his new song, Runaway, and he provided some insight on his inspiration for the single which was released on July 28.
“Kheilstone (the producer) sent the beat and a few melodies to choose from and at the time I was experiencing something that I needed to express, so I placed it all in the song,” he said at the time.
Khxos has been openly battling s uicidal thoughts long before his latest Instagram posts. On Boxing Day 2017, he wrote a lengthy post on Tumblr revealing that he had been ‘suffering’ for some time.
