After announcing a 19 show journey across the US, Stephen Marley said today that his Babylon By Bus tour is postponed due to the developments in the pandemic.

The tour, which was scheduled to start on August 26 at Mateel Community Center in Redway, California and end at Salvage Station in Asheville, North Carolina on September 26, has now been moved to a later date.

Marley, in a release on his Instagram account today, said, “It is with careful consideration that Stephen Marley, and Stephen Marley productions, has made the difficult decision to postpone the forthcoming Stephen Marley  “Babylon By Bus” tour dates in August and September 2021.  Given recent data regarding rising infection rates due to Covid-19, we are cautiously moving these dates in order to mitigate the risk of spread amongst our touring production crew, including the band and family, and most importantly our fans.”

“We hope that everyone will continue to be vigilant about safety at this time, and we hope to return to the stage in the near future. Tickets previously purchased will be honored for the rescheduled performances, or refunds will be available at point of purchase.”

Taking the name of Bob Marley and The Wailers live album, the tour will feature songs from Marley’s illustrious career as well as songs from his father.

His website currently shows new dates for the Babylon by Bus tour starting on October 28 in Las Vegas and the final date on June 30, 2022 in Wilmington NC.

The successful Reggae musician will be comfortable in his Florida estate until he is back on the road again. Last December, the Sun Sentinel reported that Stephen purchased a $3.4 million estate. “The sale included two adjacent properties in Homestead Florida that include a main house and two guesthouses. In total, the compound offers seven bedrooms and 8.5 bathrooms in about 9,873 square feet of living space”.

His latest song Dance My Stress Away with Demarco is out now on YouTube.
