Watch: Dancehall Artist Silk Boss Drops Visuals For New Song ‘Mankind’
Dancehall neophyte Silk Boss released a new single this week dubbed Mankind that’s already getting a buzz in the streets. Other rising stars, like Rytikal and Intence, have hailed the young artist for his delivery on the single which was produced by Terro ChopCity Records and Silverbirds Records.
Silk Boss, who is based in Montego Bay is presented in the KD Visuals video at a remote escape, away from the evils of ‘mankind’. “Mankind heart nuh have no love, yo dawg dem nuh have no feelings. All if me read through 4 book, fi dem love don’t have no meaning,” he sings on the hook, expressing his experiences with heartless people.
Yet, he cleverly relates his resilience to let them know that while he’s strapped, the knowledge he’s gained from ‘reading a few books’ of the bible has also taught him to keep a close eye on the enemies.
“Man a fighter, born survivor, any weh mi go mi have di sniper, nuh trust Goliath, David haffi fight back, cause mi know weh Samson get from the woman Delilah. Me could a learn fi fly a plane but mi go learn fi fly bat,” he goes on in the verses.
The fan reaction has also been very positive thus far. “First am hearing this Artist. Excellent song 🎧. Added to my playlists message real.🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥,” said one person on YouTube.
Others joined in, “Mi feel every emotion ina deh song lone pain fully my bro no joke sick a wanh path silkboss u a gad Ina dis memba dat🙏🏾✊🏾💯,” and “Goosebumps dawg a swear ✊🏾✊🏾✊🏾❄❄❄🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥,” said another.
