Skip Marley Talks New Album, Drops Eco-Friendly Wireless Earbuds
Skip Marley — a grandson of Reggae legend Bob Marley — has partnered with House of Marley on the release of their new ‘Rebel True Wireless’ earbuds. Launched on August 10, the Marley family company has introduced the Rebel earbuds as a part of their TWS (True Wireless Stereo) Collection.
According to the Slow Down singer, the new Rebel earbuds have played a part in recent studio sessions, where he’s been working on new music — including the song Not Today from his upcoming album.
“I’ve been working on a new project and the Rebel have been a huge part of it – helping me to perfect how my new album sounds and allowing me to be a Rebel with a cause,” Skip revealed in a press release.
In the release, House of Marley detailed the one-of-a-kind features of the Rebel earbuds and the experience that comes with having their quality and eco-conscious product. According to the company, the Rebel earbuds provide listeners with extended battery life, a stable comfortable fit, leading Bluetooth and microphone performance, and seamless connectivity.
Boasting 8 hours of playback and up to 30 hours total with the charging case, Rebel earbuds provide you with the freedom you deserve to enjoy quality music all day. Other features include powerful 10mm drivers, that provide an added bass boost, an autoplay/pause functionality, water, sweat and weather resistant and echo noise cancellation among others.
According to Skip, “It’s very important to me that House of Marley use sustainable materials derived from the earth, and this is why I love the Rebel true wireless earbuds.” Crafted using House of Marley’s mindful materials including renewable bamboo, natural wood fiber composite and recycled plastics, the Rebel earbuds continue to promulgate the eco-consciousness of House of Marley products.
As explained by Director of Product Development, Josh Poulsen, “We [House of Marley] have been innovating with both our materials as well as our construction and in doing so we were able to engineer the Rebel with optimal microphone positioning to deliver built-in call noise cancellation, allowing the user to hear and be heard better than before.”
The new Rebel earbuds are available at TheHouseofMarley.com.
Skip Marley was born in Kingston, Jamaica, to Bob’s daughter Cedella Marley and David Minto and raised in Miami. His last project, the Higher Place EP, was nominated for the Grammy Award for Best Reggae Album last year.
