Popcaan Tells Drake To Drop The Bombocl@#t Album
Dancehall artist Popcaan is growing tired of waiting on Drake’s Certified Lover Boy album and fired off his demand yesterday for the Canadian rapper to finally “drop the bombocl@#t album!”
Popcaan, who is signed to Drake’s OVO Sound label, made the impatient blast to the rap star yesterday on his Instagram Stories while vibing to some of Drizzy’s tracks. The 876Gad was singing some of the lyrics to the hook of Drake’s The Language 2014 single when he blurted, “Yo Drizzy drop the bombocl@#t album, a wha do you! Time fi we touch di road !”
Drake had confirmed that the highly anticipated project was finally finished when he stopped by OVO Sound 42’s Fri Yiy Friday show on SiriusXM in late July, according to Complex. “Album’s cooked. Looking forward to delivering it to you,” Drake said during his brief appearance. “I hope everybody in the world is blessed. I hope everybody has their drinks, everyone’s locked in. Good vibes and good energy for this weekend.”
“OVO, we aim for the head, we don’t aim to please. Certified Lover Boy on the way, and that’s for anyone in the way,” he added.

Added to Popcaan’s outburst, this only signals that Drake’s album could drop anytime now. Later on that night, the Family deejay showed that they in fact did “touch di road” when he shared a recording of himself in a club among his crew.
Drake re-shared the same video on his Instagram Stories last night and wrote, “Unruly family on road again soon,” and added “Ready!!!!” leaving fans to believe that the album is ready-ready!
Drake fans have been waiting for his new LP, Certified Lover Boy for a couple of years now. Back in January, Drizzy pushed back the original release date, which led rumors to suggest that the album would drop in August.
Then earlier this month on August 10, basketball player LeBron James teased, “CLB Coming Soon People!! My brother ain’t FN around”, in his IG Story with Drake’s 4 PM In Callabasas playing in the background.
Drizzy responded to LeBron’s Story with a repost and a mix of emojis, seemingly corroborating the claim.

Certified Lover Boy also ties into Drake’s deal with Nike reportedly worth $460 million. In December, the rapper launched a Certified Lover Boy capsule with Nike, complete with bootleg CDG socks, and recently gave fans an early look at his forthcoming Nike Air Force 1 collab, which is dubbed, “Certified Lover Boy.”
That initial merch reveal came a week after Champagne Papi shared the first single issued off the Certified Lover Boy album. He dropped the star-studded visuals for Laugh Now Cry Later featuring Lil Durk, and wrote on Instagram for his 89 million followers, “Laugh Now Cry Later off my next studio album CERTIFIED LOVER BOY.”
As for Poppy’s who is currently in the U.K., he revealed on August 9 that his upcoming fifth studio album will be dropping soon. Shortly after on August 12, he tweeted that his next album will be launching in Ghana , and everyone’s welcome.

This new album will be Popcaan’s fifth studio project, following Where We Come From (2014), Forever (2018), Vanquish (2019), and FIXTAPE (2020).
In the meantime, the Unruly Boss has been keeping busy, appearing on a new single with Bakersteez called Blessings that dropped three weeks ago.
His latest single Pool Party and Abundant Life Documentary (Words of Wisdom Part 111) dropped prior in mid-July. Poppy also shared a recent studio session with British-Jamaican hip-hop duo Krept and Konan.
