Popcaan Shares Photo Of Childhood Home, Says He’s “Forever Grateful”
Dancehall star Popcaan shared a photo believed to be his childhood home on Instagram this morning. The small blue house, with zinc roofing and fencing, got his unruly fans praising the St. Thomas native for his successes thus far.
Popcaan, who is currently working on his fifth studio album, wrote in the caption “When yuh Bless, Yuh Bless!!! God gave me a talent and i work very hard with it and i’ll never take it for granted.. #FOREVERGRATEFUL 🙏🏿 don’t hate non a my blessings😉”.
Popcaan’s sister, Unruly Squid, responded to the sentimental post and added, “Far wi a come from!! They dont know the story bro😩 #grateful”.
The Dun Rich artist is known for his patriotic love for his parish. In his song, Where We Come From, he highlighted the Seaforth, St. Thomas community and sang: “Me go tell em bout happy grove / you coulda call it poppy grove / Mi life never easy don’t tread happy roads”.
Popcaan has brought his acclaimed Unruly Fest to nowhere else, but the Goodyear Oval located in Morant Bay, St. Thomas. 2018’s staging saw the likes of international acts such as Canadian rapper Drake and Canadian rapper, singer, songwriter, Tory Lanez.
Earlier this week, the deejay announced that his next studio album will be launched in Ghana. The Firm And Strong singer also has a deep connection with the West African country, so much so that he reportedly bought a house in Ghana last year January.
Currently in the UK, the Dancehall star is working and reconnecting with a few industry friends. Never leaving his fanbase out of touch, he continues to share pictures and videos of his day-to-day activities. Today, the Family singer also shared pictures of him at presumably the Etihad Stadium where Manchester City defeated Norwich, five nil.
