Bugle Shares Release Date, Cover Art And Tracklist For Fourth Album ‘Toxicity’
Bugle’s fourth studio album Toxicity is complete and will be released on October 22, according to the Reggae/Dancehall singer and songwriter.
The Nuh Compatible singer has also released the title track Toxicity, ahead of the LP’s release. Produced by Zj Sparks, Twelve 9 records and Loud City Music, the lead single focuses on the issues of life, particularly politics, corruption and the two-sidedness of people as he vocalizes in the chorus.
“A regular mi ask dis/ why everybody toxic / guess is a big show a keep / cause all I see is actors and actress,” he sings.
Bugle has also shared the album cover, which depicts a very outdated television with an overly frustrated black man with short locs, eyes closed and screaming, projected through the distorted television screen. This artistic abstract, is placed against a gold-dusted backdrop of city buildings.
Bugle, whose real name is Roy Thompson, is listed as the Executive Producer of the 15-song-long tracklist. With features from Reggae and Dancehall veterans such as Julian Marley and Bounty Killer on Time is of Essence, Jesse Royal and Kabaka Pyramid on Change the World, Beenie Man on Affection, Jahmiel on Connected and even Reggae newcomer Nation Boss on Experience.
Bugle’s previous albums include Anointed, released in 2014, Be Yourself in 2017, and Picture Perfect in 2019. Always focusing on the issues of life and leaving a soulful message to fans, the quarantine album Toxicity comes at no better time.
