Vybz Kartel, Winnie Harlow Show Each Other Love On The ‘Gram
A recent exchange between Dancehall titan Vybz Kartel and Jamaican-Canadian supermodel Winnie Harlow turned heads on Instagram on Sunday (September 5).
In the surprising post, the Worl’ Boss re-shared a striking photo of the 27-year-old fashion model, from her attendance at a British GQ event in London over the weekend. It appears the incarcerated Dancehall deejay was promoting his new track Paparazzi , as the audio of the song played along with the image share.
Kartel followed up in the caption, “@gq affi pre 🧐 & wonder “how di people do it?” 🇯🇲jamaicaway 🇯🇲Jamaica streets yuh will see.”
Harlow, who is known to be a huge Vybz Kartel fan, quickly caught the salute after several fans tagged her in the post. Evidently thrilled about the recognition, she replied, “😭❤️❤️🇯🇲 Love you so much!” and tagged the Worl’ Boss.
The exchange was well received by fans who flooded Kartel’s feed to show both celebs some love. American rapper Busta Rhymes was all for the show of love between the two as well, igniting the Gazanation leader’s timeline with fire emojis.
Back in April last year, the supermodel and Dancehall icon had a similar Instagram moment. Kartel re-posted a clip of Harlow dancing to his 2010 hit single Clarks that features Popcaan and Gaza Slim (now Vanessa Bling) during Diddy’s virtual dance-a-thon for coronavirus relief.
Winnie’s dance moves have come a long way since then, as seen in a recent bubbling session to Charly Black’s 2013 smash hit Whine & Kotch with J Capri when she visited the island last month.
“Jamaican Gyals run it 🇯🇲🌴❤️🎶 so happy to be immersed in my culture, dancing, music, family, the best food, HOME! @puma in the islands,” she wrote on the IG share.
On her Jamaican trip, the supermodel got busy taking photos all across the island with Puma sports brand, rocking designs inspired by the culture.
