Iyara Crashes Into Deer On Florida Interstate
Dancehall artist Iyara is grateful to have avoided serious injury when the car he was traveling in hit a deer on the Interstate. The Rich and Wealthy singer was heading home from a party in Daytona Beach, Florida last night.
“Mi just grateful to be alive, it happen in a flash, I was on I-4 East travelling towards Daytona when the deer approached from the west. It jump over the barrier and lick inna mi car, whilie trying to cross the main highway,” Iyara told DancehallMag.
The deejay indicated that the fate of the deer was unknown after he shared a photo of the car, a 2020 Buick Regal, which was totaled, according to him.
“All mi coulda is blup and hit the deer. It was so dark, ah 1:45 a.m or so, mi no know if the deer live but the 2020 Buick Regal, brand new, write off, radiator buss, light mash up,” he added.

He sustained minor injuries, what he diagnosed as “minor whiplash”.
Animal-related accidents are dangerous encounters for motorists. Deer cause over 1 million motor vehicle accidents in the U.S. each year. On average, there are between 175 and 200 fatalities and over 10,000 injuries every year caused by deer accidents. The odds of hitting a deer with a car in the US are 1 in 116.
Iyara is slated to perform at the Orlando Legendary Weekend on October 2 alongside Alkaline next month.
He’s presently promoting Yaadman Up inna Farrin which has racked up over 300,000 views on YouTube, and he will be releasing a follow-up song in October called Live Cash.
“We will be doing some heavy promotion, the video for Live Cash has already been shot with scenes from an actual party in Orlando,” he said.
Iyara is known for songs like Never Kill A Friend, Sicka Dan Flu and Rich and Wealthy, the latter of which has more than 1.5 million views on YouTube.
