Jahshii’s On The Grind “25/8” In New Song: Watch

With just a handful of official song releases, Dancehall newcomer Jahshii is already turning heads. His latest dubbed 25/8 was released on October 6 and has attracted almost 200k views in less than 24 hours along with a string of raving comments from fans on YouTube.

In a production teaming with Dynasty Records, DJ Mac Productions, and Attomatic Records, the single arrives on the Bleed Riddim, where Jahshii details his drive to elevate himself and take his family out of poverty despite the odds. Jahshii goes the extra mile and depicts that in the song’s title with “25/8″ rather than “24/7” to denote his non-stop efforts.

Directed by Camoflauge and Studio X & Company, the visuals feature Jahshii among his peers in what appears to be his hometown in the “Garrison”. As he makes his way through the inner city schemes in the area, Jahshii insists, “Anyweh mi hold poverty mi torture it, ghetto youths gone rise.”

He’s a “top striker and mi nuh somebody fi bench. Go fi mi goal … mi a boy weh mi modda haffi proud ah, elevate mi circle…”
