Yanique Curvy Diva Finds Potential Husband At Her Restaurant
One of Dancehall’s sex symbols, Yanique Curvy Diva may have found herself a potential husband after the determined suitor sent a bearer with fifty red roses to the Dancehall starlet’s restaurant, Dining With Curvy. While Yanique was annoyed with the Jamaica Star, after they published “Curvy Diva looking for a husband” in July, it seems to have turned out to be a manifestation.
The day after the story was published, the bold suitor aimed his shot and fired well on target, though he claims he never saw the headline.
“The bearer came and I was like ‘bearer, roses what the hell? And he [the bearer] was like ‘can I have your phone?’”, Yanique told The Fix Podcast recently.
After initially resisting, she eventually gave the bearer her phone as he told her he was instructed to dial a number. “Mi give him the phone and him call di number and I took the phone and he introduced himself and seh ‘I met you six months, or couple months ago, I’ve always come there [her restaurant].”
After meeting up with him, her now-partner two weeks after the phone call and roses, the Curvy Diva was particularly impressed with the fact that he didn’t even save her number after their first conversation.
“When I met him two weeks after that I was like, ‘you didn’t save the number, you didn’t call back’, he’s like, ‘you didn’t give me your number. I called you, spoke to you, but you didn’t give me, you didn’t say okay well save my number’”.
Though embracing the fact that she is viewed as a sex symbol, the Lifestyle singer got real candid about navigating love and relationships. She admitted that the ‘Curvy Diva’ has been a hindrance to her developing serious romantic relationships.
“Its hard, its hard, that’s why I try to date within a circle,” she said. “I think a lot of people kind of associate me with ok she love money man or she love ballers or whatever and not that I don’t like somebody financially stable, the thing is I am financially stable and when I do go outside of that it’s a headache.”
“I tend to date in my circle, celebrities date celebrities,” she added.
The Curvy Diva said she has learned a lot from her public breakup scandal with former West Indies cricketer, Marlon Samuels three years ago and is now ready for what this new partner has in store for her.
