Capella Grey Surprises Spice On Stage At ‘Best Of The Best’ Music Fest
Queen of Dancehall Spice was in for a pleasant surprise when Bronx rapper Capella Grey joined her on stage at the Best Of The Best Music Fest at Bayfront Park in Miami on Sunday night.
The 15th annual concert, which is known to be the largest Caribbean cultural and music show in North America had an exciting lineup of entertainers from Jamaica that included Spice, Tarrus Riley, Tanya Stephens, Lady G, Teejay, Ding Dong, and Jo Mersa Marley plus popular Soca acts such as Allison Hinds and Patrice Roberts.
Spice’s late-night performance would not only shock fans but also the Queen herself when the deejay interrupted her set to tell her there was a surprise visitor.
“Ah who?” Spice asked unwittingly and quite eager. Instead of revealing the mystery person, however, the selector began playing Grey’s infamous Gyalis track, which sent the crowd wild. Spice seemed very much in disbelief at first but once she saw the rapper approaching, she ran across the stage screaming.
The Send It Up diva was evidently thrilled for the company as Grey’s entourage took over the stage hyping his chart-topping summer banger. She too was seen repping the 26-year-old New Yorker.
Capella, who is born to Jamaican parents, shared the moment on Instagram yesterday.
He wrote in the caption, “Sh-t be so beautiful every time Gang mob on stage 😭😭🥂.”

Since the independent release back in March, Gyalis is still going strong with fans; especially with the number of unofficial remixes, it has received in the last few months. From rappers like Tory Lanez, and French Montana to Dancehall artists Kranium and Jada Kingdom has remixed Grey’s hit track.
The official one, with Chris Brown and Popcaan, was released earlier this month.
“Soooooo spice gyalis remix?!?!?” said one excited IG fan wanting the keep the momentum going, now that two appeared on stage together last night.
Meanwhile, Tarrus Riley, Ding Dong, Teejay, Joe Mersa and Tanya Stephens also shared their performances last night.
Backstage Tarrus shared his meet with rap star Busta Ryhmes and Tyson Beckford who came out to show their support. “Salute 1000% Respect King @bustarhymes. Honor!!!!! True Definition of Artist..🔥🔥🔥🔥” Riley wrote on his post.
Ravers Clavers hype master certainly did what he intended to do by exciting the crowd to amplified levels. He too brought out a surprise act – American rapper Safaree. “The plan wasn’t just to be another artist it’s to be the best….. “ BEST OF THE BEST “ thanks for the love🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥,” Ding Dong wrote on his post.
