A whopping 50 tracks could make up Bounty Killer‘s soon-to-be-released King of Kingston album, from all indications.  On Thursday, the Warlord posted a tracklist of 34 songs and noted: “Track listing: Get familiar and more loading……!!”.

A day later, producer and music distributor, Johnny Wonder suggested that the final album, which is due for release in December, could be comprised of 50 tracks representing Killer’s 50 years on earth which he will celebrate on his birthday next June.

“#KINGOFKINGSTON 50 For 50. fifty songs for 50 years on earth… @grunggaadzilla,” Wonder wrote on Instagram.

King of Kingston is Bounty’s first studio album in 19 years, and according to him will herald “Dancehall’s recharge reset and realignment”.  In September, Bounty Killer had revealed that the long-awaited production would have at least a record-breaking 30 featured artists—including the Grammy Award winner Shabba Ranks–gracing it with their vocals.

In addition to Shabba Ranks, he had said the album which is slated to be released in December, will feature a slew of singers including Chronixx, Stephen Marley, Barrington Levy, Dexta Daps, Omi, Romain Virgo, Christopher Martin, Olaf Blackwood who also recently featured on Spice’s Ten album, Junior Gong himself, Nesbeth, Aisha Davis and Wayne Marshall.

Dancehall deejays on the album include his protégé Vybz Kartel, Agent Sasco, Spragga Benz, Busy Signal, Dancehall pioneer Big Youth, Bling Dawg, and Blakkman.  Longtime collaborators Brian and Tony Gold, are also included, as well as his favorite vocalist Richie Stephens, with whom he has recorded the largest number of duets.

Outside of Jamaica, Executive Producer Junior Gong and Bounty had also recruited Bunji Garlin, Snoop Dogg, Busta Rhymes, and DJ Khaled.  In addition, Bounty’s son Major Myjah, Leah, Bena, Stassi Pryce are also featured.

Fans are still pondering whether Reggae legend Bob Marley will be featured on King of Kingston as Bounty had expressed his desire to have the late icon featured on the album.

“If I had one last song to do, that’s the song I would want to do. Jr. Gong producing the album and I asked him, and I don’t know how Chris Blackwell [Island Records Founder] gonna go about that, but that’s a collaboration I dream of,” he had told Entertainment Report’s Anthony Miller a few months ago.

With Bob’s youngest son Damian Marley being the executive producer of the album, getting Blackwell to give the go-ahead, should not be an arduous task.

Bounty’s post attracted a series of comments, including from fans who said they were waiting with bated breath for the release date. “Killa jus be like f-ck it me a go jus drop nearly 2 decade worth a music 🤣🔥🔥 I love it,” harry.selah said.

Some said that the caliber of the collaborators alone makes the album worthy of a Grammy nomination. “January 2023, this will be a Grammy Award winning project!!” mrjahbee said.

“@grunggaadzilla this is not a album ..it’s a whole catalogue family …let’s start 2022 with this congrats now let’s see if the Grammys a sleep now,” rave_bossja stated.
