The rift between Foota Hype and Spice deepened throughout Sunday, in a tit-for-tat which eventually saw the Dancehall selector calling for a truce, claiming he did not want to reveal things that could be detrimental to her children’s psyche.

At daybreak, Foota celebrated after Instagram reinstated his page, and took to IG Live to proclaim that he had been victorious.

Earlier Foota had posted the music video for the song Grab Up You H_d, an anti-buggery song recorded song by Spice in 2005, on the Straight Forward riddim, and reminded his fans of her anti-gay approach in her early Dancehall days.

“So it wasn’t important to support the dodo community at this time in ur career because all u had was the str8 community so I guess all the words in this song was fake so u was lying to uself and the ppl of dancehall and Jamaica oh and @thecham pls comment under this post let’s hear ur opinion since this song was produced by ur general @davekelly 1 of the gr8est dancehall producer under ur supervision,” he noted under the post.

Spice shot back at the Dark Knight producer an hour later, pointing out that he had been over the years proudly adorning himself in designer clothes for which the creators were also gay, to much cheering from her fans, who agreed with her that Foota was being duplicitous.

She posted several photos of Foota posing in several items of clothes from the fashion houses of European designers and issued a challenge to the Calabar High School old boy.

“I see say yah try hard to bring me down but study my history “WELCOME TO THE CLUB” ……..Make mi pause mi rice and peas. You a clout chase after me because you well wah Buss yuh YouTube channel and you draw fi throw back so come Doreen son make we reason wid dem throw back yah‼️ So I’m not supposed to take their money but you’re supposed to spread out and secretly give them yours ? Although she had not tagged him in the post, Foota responded on Spice’s page.

“blottclaaaat mi hot ova yah so lol str8 ppl winning 👏👏👏,” he wrote.

In his final post of the day, Foota Hype went live on Instagram, stating that he did not disrespect her in any of his posts, indicating again that he did not want to be pushed to go into the gutter as he was concerned about her children’s well-being.

“I don’t want to be the one to really let dem have certain impression a dem old lady, seen…. All now mi Nuh fuss har enuh.  Mi seh mi disappointed, shi shouldn’t teck di bookings an mi naw change dat an mi naw apologize fi dat…”

In addressing the clothes issue Foota argued that there are no clothes anywhere marked “built for gays”, and that if these existed, heterosexuals would not purchase them.

“These people survive inna our world.  Mi hear people a talk bout a fi dem world; dem naw no world.  If dem nuh meck di clothes fi di straight people dem, dem caan meck no money,” he said.

Foota also told his followers to tag Spice, claiming he wanted to ask her in his live feed what her intentions were towards him.

“Before mi start diss har, mi want try understand a what shi a deal wid.  Caw mi wi bear suppm long until dem push di wrong button enuh…,” he said.

However, Spice’s fans who had stormed his page, told him to leave her alone, as he had no right to speak since he was guilty of wearing brands named after gay men, and ordered him to wear African prints instead of European threads.
