Dancehall superstar Sean Paul is no newbie to the Grammy stage—the artist has been nominated all of eight times since the beginning of his career in the early 2000s.   The Gimme The Light deejay, 48, has received one more Grammy nomination for his 2021 album Live N Livin , and this means we might see Sean Paul’s eclectic style once more on the red carpet—if he finally decides to take on pandemic travel.

Paul is known for his very chilled and go-with-the-flow style and personality. He, however, is in no way shy of the spotlight and dresses for the occasion on ‘music’s biggest night’.  From his mohawk days to his more recent bohemian transition; t he one-time Grammy winner has shown that his fashion sense is cool, and confident.

Cornrows and Open Colllars

Early 2000’s Sean Paul is known for his cornrows, open-collared shirts, bling, and his blazers. It was 2000’s fashion at its best; oversized blazers, revealing collars and cornrows. The Dancehall star started his career and red-carpet life in true style.

Mohawk Phase

Paul transitioned from cornrows to his infamous mohawk in the 2010s when he started being more risqué with his hair, and while collaborating with singers such as Sia. He was still true to style with his fitted jeans and larger blazers. He never leaves his heavy gold chain and his shades.

Low cut

The ever-evolving deejay has yet again found a new style choice with his low cut, sometimes bald head, chunky jewelry and beads, and more style-forward blazers with beautiful prints. The artist has, however, stayed true to style with his gold accents and shades.

At the 57th Annual Grammy Awards in 2015, the deejay’s album Full Frequency was nominated for Best Reggae Album.
